Times are tough for a lot of people right now. Money needing to be watched and checked.

However even in these times we should not completely neglect ourselves when possible.

Buying something that might cheer you up can make a big difference.

What have you bought to treat yourself recently? Large or small doesn't matter, its more about how it makes you feel.

I have just bought a stack of coasters!

I think the last thing I bought aside from dog supplies and work expenses was a set of cherry red delrin canes. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet though.

Fluffy bedsocks. They are gorgeously fluffy. Good thing they came in a pack of three, as the daughter stole one pair straight away

Mint matchmakers are ALWAYS worth it! But one of life's great mysteries how they disappear so quickly.

Yesterday afternoon I bought a book on eBay about a specific place and events in the town where I grew up...

....second-hand, but only £3.33 post-free, so an absolute bargain - the seller can't be making any money on it, whatsoever...

My big threat to me, done on a budget, was a 5 day winter sun holiday in Lanzerote and, my treat was a hot chocolate and a vegan "sausage" roll about an hour ago after a freezing cold cycle ride.

It's not any salad though, it's M and S salad.

Filled the fridge, if I'm going to be eating salads, might as well spend a good chunk of salary on then.

(But a more moreish chocolate I have yet to find!)

I bought a new bowl. Most of my teas can be scooped up with a spòon or crusty bread, so I have bought a lovely, pretty, heavy, very pleasing to the hand and eye bowl to eat out of instead of a boring plate. Daughter promptly declared it was hers, but I know it's mine really.
