Only 2nd jan and im already fed up with 2013, sad news earlier, then dave comes home from work after being told he may be at risk of reduncancy.

I know being told that you're at risk of redundancy, but there is one tiny good point, at least they waited till after Crimbo to tell them.
I used to work in the NHS and the last thing they told my whole team of 22, the day before we broke up for Crimbo 2yrs ago was that we were at risk of redundancy ... what a wonderful way to spend Crimbo.
Hope it doesn't come to it for your hubby though. |

Life is like a slow roller coaster, exhilarating highs and low points. When you're in a low point, things always change for the better. I got made redundant once and I thought it was the end....after about a well deserved month long holiday, I made it my job to get another and did so - a better more fun job. You sound like you're having a really emotional time at the moment and all I can say is it will get better. |

We've had some similar news at work today also, transference of work down to southern depots and closing ours in march ...... Not quite the start to the year I was expecting  |

i was put out of work 4weeks b4 xmas though no fault of mine , still on that downer , had a naff xmas and ny , only got money last week it took them that to sort it out , couuldnt even bye my son a prezzy felt so gutted and still do, thing is there aint much out there work wise for a 53yr old guy but ill keep looking |

the thing is that it does,it sits you on ur arse and its hard to get bk up , b4 the week ends ill have no phone no internet cos it al be cut off cos aint the money to pay the bills ,already took my car off rd cos cant tax or insure it so i feel totaly fucked now |
