There is a new stamp and it is a portrait of king charles. I like it do you? It will be on 1st and 2nd class stamps. I almost typed prince rather than king, it takes a time to get used too |

Hi, Shag.
What do you think of the tradition where the monarch has to face the opposite way from the previous incumbent?
I think it's his birth right to face right and he shouldn't be left to face left.
Am I right? Or should it be left to tradition? |

I have some stamps on a sheet that are Christmas themed with the Queen's head on that I'll never use.
She'll be remembered in my house. |

"Very dignified looking stamp I think.
Fun fact, each monarch faces the opposite direction from the last which is why Charles is facing left."
Nothing worse than an undignified stamp. |

I think he beats a striking resemblance to his grandfather on the stamp, and the 50p coin |

I never knew that. What's the tradition/reason behind that??
Interesting he's chosen not to wear a crown in the image used. |

Lots of them don't.. George vi Edward viii... I think there's some of elizabeth without. I like it. Looks very similar to some of the George ones though. |

I hadn't thought of him facing his people.
Food for thought. |

It's called a "Definitive stamp" - a stamp that consists solely of the monarchs’ head and value of the stamp on a plain coloured background and with no embellishments whatsoever.
The King is facing •left• just like his mother before him. |

"For anyone who's unsure what stamps are, they're a way of paying for royal mail to deliver a letter and a letter is like an email but a bit slower. "
And costs so much these days, Chas is one of the few people who can afford his own sticky labels |
