Ha! I'll go with not started by someone more known. I think it's quite natural for people to feel more comfortable making jokes etc if they know a poster. There's less chance of it being a flop because of that familiarity. |

Funny I was going to start a thread recently on a similar theme but decided against it in case I "broke the rules"
But I would say that if you start a thread and it gets a reply or response from let's say one of the better known forumites it's more likely to do well.
Not always but in general.
So I think you have some validity in your point. |

I get excited when any thread I start hits double figure replies which is extremely rare.
I have one at the moment with zero replies.
It's either because I don't have a big enough penis or I am a big penis. |

Sometimes yes. Sometimes they dislike the op and just don't contribute. Sometimes they are just not around when it is active or it has been relegated to page 2 quickly. |

I got excited that I had over 26 replies to the alphabet one!
I only reply if i understand the subject and can contribute. Sometimes there's so many bloody words i dont understand and have to Google lol |
