So as im finally getting to the end of xmas snacks and this year turn 40, im looking to change my life around. Need to start eating bit more healthy and start exercise and improve my mental health. Just wondering if people can recommend books or any help with this, thinking about getting sum jo wicks books to help along way and not give up. Any help or adive would be much appreciated |

I would first ask what your end goal is. Is it to lose weight? Build muscle? Keep generally active? Each one has it's own diet and fitness plan to help you achieve those things so need a bit more detail |

I'm not a Joe wicks fan, he's a perky little wanker imo.
Try Nerd Fitness online. He's more about building fun, sustainable habits. Most of the useful stuff is free to read.
Talking of habits, you could try the book Atomic Habits.

Find something that's fun for you, which can also be exercise, especially if you find the gym boring. Like climbing or something. Also you can try to work cardio into your day, so like cycling to work. |

I'd suggest you look for a local CrossFit gym. Training in a group setting makes it very easy to make new friends, which is a great way to improve your confidence and helps with the motivation too.
