Valentine’s Day dates

I'm gonna book a solo table if possible at my usual steak place and just make a point of being the only single bachelor dining by myself in there on V Day. 
And if anybody asks I'll just say I'm taking myself out on a date. 
p.s. I do seriously dine out solo a lot. And it doesn't bother me one bit. I like seeing happy couples round me. Call it vicarious pleasure.  |

This weekend? I wouldn't say it's Valentine's related.
I'm not going out out on Valentine's Day. In part because I love cooking. But on the 14th after a hospital appointment; I'm going to go and get our favourite coffees, switch off our phones and enjoy a hour with us. Talking. Laughing.  That's a little form of romance to me.

I haven't experienced any romance since about 2008, so yeah it's pretty dead.
I may just buy one of those meal for two things though, I mean they're small portions anyway. |

I’ve never been a massive valentines person and when I was with partners I much preferred staying in if we were together on the 14th and cooking together or something. I do like romance but just in our own way….I don’t like the idea of going to those places that will just be filled with other couples, though saying that it might be a fun day to people watch and guess what stage relationship everyone is in
This year though I will be going to a social this weekend which is valentines themed but aside from that I no doubt will be working!  |

We don’t tend to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we have random romantic nights through the week anyway, we’ll buy each other things we want but that’s about it

my only date shall be spending a delicious 8 hours with my tattoo artist, and his talents for inflicting the beautiful pain that i crave so much

We're going for a meal and a couple of drinks at the weekend. Kids are sleeping out so we're going to turn in early for the night and have the most amazing, spine tingling sleep of our lives! |

Getting a table in a restaurant on valentines day is too cringe. Sitting next to a bunch of other couples, it feels forced.

We are child free and work free on the following Friday (VDay is weird). We will be going for a bottomless brunch…. Followed by another bottomless brunch, then on to a local cocktail bar and finishing up at a local pub that has great live music. The kids aren’t back until 5pm the following day so we will go for a long walk Saturday and grab lunch in a country pub. |

Im doing dinner and a mini pub crawl on sunday with a duvet day, afternoon tea box delivery and loads of sex monday.
Its a mix of valentines / superbowl sunday / having a rare monday off … but really it was just because it happened to be the first time mr is home in 6 weeks so would have sone the same no matter when it fell.
We were going to day trip v day itself after the monday hangovers and horn subsided … but its half term so everywhere we thought of will be over run with kids  |

I shall struggle on valentines day this year as its the first one without my beloved.

We ( group of friends ) have managed to book a table ( 10 days ago ) at our local Cote Brasserie , the last table available on the 14th , with a sit down time of 8.45pm so I think romance is alive and well in Basingstoke |

Haha if only it was that easy. I’ve been with my husband for over twenty years and it takes a lot of work sometimes. But that’s what I personally think makes a good marriage, then the special little things like Valentine’s or romantic gestures together make it so much more special  |

Nobody to go with. Was never a fan of the day anyway. I'm not one to be told that I should show my love or appreciation for somebody. I'll do it when I feel like regardless of how often or little.
That said past experience has me simply not enjoying this time of year at all. I'm happy for everyone that has somebody but I don't want to be around that vibe. |

No thanks, too busy. Valentines is overrated anyway. Myself and my partner will make the day special for my little one but we aren't too bothered about it anymore for the two of us as a couple. We try to do lovey dates, days out etc in general month to month so I don't feel like I'm missing out on much. |

I'll be treating myself! My best friend used to get me a card etc even when we just became friends, But he passed away 5 weeks ago from cancer. It's supposed to be for singles the tradition! But i love seeing all the loved up couples It's so cute.  |

Each to their own and absolutely best wishes to them but l have been down that road.. bought the t shirt , went above and beyond the call of duty as regards Valentine's day/ night ..and being honest..never again ..unless it's with the right person that shop is closed till further notice . |
