Theres a few different kinds out there.
Nest is the common simple to use.
Honeywell total heating control is another, i use it.
You will need a controller to the boiler, which will turn on the heating from the WiFi unit.
You then either have WiFi thermostats on the radiators which are individual control, or set each radiator valve to a set temperature |

Nest is a bit shit and i've lost connection numerous times, as well as had to have the thing replaced due to a total failure. The control, reporting and programming features are a little bit sparse for my liking too- which could be sorted with an app update, but can't see that happening.
Not sure if the Hive is any better, but if i was installing now, id certainly consider that over the Nest |
