Karen, I am sorry you had to make the decision but know it is the right one. Letting him linger on with no brain activity would have been a torment for all of you.
Allow yourself time to grieve.
My condolences and thoughts are with you xxx |

Karen you have been amazing, an amazing daughter and you always will be, every memory will be treasured and your father is at peace now, sorely missed, gone but never forgotten.
You are all in our thoughts, our sincere condolences to you and your family.
After the arrangements are made and one more hurdle to face, give yourself time and you will heal.
Such a raw time for you emotionally right now, I feel your pain.
But we are all here and M and I wish you well in such a sad time.

South Birmingham waiting for the bf to come back after crimbo |
So sorry to hear this sad news.
As others have already said, you made the right decision, wouldn't have been right for your dad, you or the rest of the family to let him linger. Don't ever berate yourselves for making this decision.
Take care of yourselves, we are all here to offer words of support should you need us.
Huge hugs for you and all your family xxx |

Hi Karen
We haven't really spoken on here, but I thought it would be good to offer sympathy from a lurker/sometimes poster on here.
If it's any help when my father died a few years ago, I found the pain of his passing was eased somewhat by trying not to dwell in the period of his illness, but focusing on some of the good times he and I spent together. It helped me. x |

So sorry to hear the news Karen, but I am sure your Dad would have told you did both the right thing and the best you could for him, under the circumstances.
Our thoughts are with you and your family.
