"I've watched it twice. I know... gluton for punishment
Made a bit more sense 2nd time around, but not the best!"
It's not that it didn't make sense. It was just shit. We fish people also have vibranium and so everyone must die. Fish people. Fish. |

Somewhere off the edge of the map... 'ere there be monsters |
I’ve not been tempted to see it in the slightest. But then I also seem to be among the very few that didn’t think much of the first one, either. Phase 4 of the MCU has on the whole been rather mediocre, it seems. Or maybe it’s me that’s changed and have simply lost my appetite after so many years of superhero movies? I thought Bale was great in Love & Thunder but yeah, pretty meh otherwise, and Ragnarok is one of my faves of the bunch, so then again I think there has definitely been a decline in quality as the MCU gets more and more milked / dragged out. |

I can't take any movie about fish people seriously.
I actually liked the latest Thor! It was funny and stupid but at least it acknowledged itself for that |

From the great phase 1, to now I don't know if Marvel is maxed out or the woke agenda has consumed them.
Antman is released next month, if this fails I see it as the end of the MCU which I have enjoyed and supported.
As they say all good things... |

I really wanted Black Panther 2 to be good because the first one was. Shang Chai was actually really good in my opinion.
But yeah latest Doctor Strange, even Spiderman, and bloody Eternals were not great. I actually did like Love and Thunder but it's definitely lost something.
Oh loki was good on Disney+ too |

"They killed off too many integral characters for my liking.
"
They only killed Tony STARK, Widow, and Cap got old because they were sort of done with it. A ~10 year run on multiple movies. They needed a change.
Chadwick Boseman died for real, so they had the controversial decision to kill his character or recast.
I agree with you though, that it certainly is not the same and the new cast/characters don't pull the same appeal plus mediocre movies in general.
Wakanda Forever is just bland. The plot is quite weak while attempting to be grand, other than the emotional and beautiful opening and ending. |

In the comics, the avengers change their line up often to reflect the times.
But it seems to me that the era of phase 1 to 4 was my era the characters that I read.
Now these new characters are not familiar to me and reflect a time im unsure of so it losing appeal for me.
I will still follow the MCU but phase 1 to 4 will be the golden age for me. |

Honestly I thought the dialogue was terrible, the action scenes rushed and very predictable.
CGI was bad, acting atrocious, story bad.
Other than the tribute to Chadwick Boseman the whole film seemed pretty pointless or at the least a good hour too long. |

This latest blockbuster is a poorly crafted, uninspired mess that fails to capture the essence of its source material. The acting is wooden, the special effects are underwhelming, and the plot is filled with cliches and plot holes. Overall, this film is a complete waste of time and money and I would not recommend it to anyone. Other than that it was OK. |

"What an utter pile of crap.
Wasted almost 3 hrs watching it.
Couldn't you tell you were in shit after the first hour and got out of it ?"
Yeah but Mrs wanted to see it through.
I just sat there sulking. |

Is this the new 3 millionth Marvel movie ?
Yeah, I'm bored with them now.
1. World/Universe-shattering event occurs.
2. Marvel superheroes get assembled.
3. 1st attempt goes badly.
4. Training montage / redoubling of efforts
5. Problem overcome. Everyone goes home for tea, cake and medals.

Really ?
I must be totally out of touch because I actually really enjoyed it (which I haven’t done with an MCU film since End Game)
Oh well either my taste is slipping or I’ve just gotten so used to bad films that the bar is really low now |

Just because I didn't enjoy it doesn't mean others can't everyone is different.
I'm pretty sure many people have hated a film that I liked.
I just found this film a bit bland and predictable. |

Moderately better than the last few movies and definitely better than She Hulk.
Marvel has lost its way since the three main protagonists, Iron Man Capt America and Thor, have seen their story arcs finish. Although God and Thunder was v poor too. |

Maybe I am just being biased but I actually quite enjoyed wakanda forever. The tribute was brilliant and I love how they linked namur to the aztec mythology rather than just being referred to as atlantean like in the comics. To be fair, letitia Wright had big shoes to fill and credit to her, I think she did really well.
As much as I love the original trio of the avengers but I love how the MCU is taking a leap of faith and trying to push other characters into those spots. Not quite the same but I'm intrigued to see how they will do this. Bring it on |

Suffered through it. Personally I think it was much longer than it had to be, but also wasn’t particularly interesting. I think the new crop of marvel movies from Disney have mostly just been a bit meh. I’d rather they stopped churning them out like they’re monthly series. |

For those who didn’t like it, which movie did you think was worse , last Wakanda or last Thor?
Personally I couldn’t even get through Thor but I actually liked Wakanda |

Both bad in different ways.
Thor was terrible and just bad, fitting they used Gorr the god butcher in the movie they butchered Thor. The dark world was dull but love and thunder was bad.
Wakanda forever just went the way of The dark world too, it was just boring and poorly written for a large part of it. But not on the level of Love and Thunder. |

I found the use of subtitles for a made-up language very annoying and a bit pretentious. All in all, a visually confusing film with a poor script, but that's the newer Marvel films for you. I know that the original actor sadly died, but why couldn't they just put a new guy in and do a proper Black Panther story? |

It is a real language
Yucatec Maya for Namor and his people
Xhosa for Wakanda |

As for the recast, it's tricky as they were doing it out of respect but it also allowed them to move forward faster with the plan of a more female focused cast. So they embraced it and ran with it.
In the comic she does take up the mantle of black panther so it still respects the source but the whole thing worked towards their goal.
They are now noticing with the jarring shift in tone and target audience that interest is dropping hard for the brand. |

Fair enough. It still seems a bit pretentious to use either of them for a comic book film. |

Wasn't a massive fan of the first one. Never liked the character all that much so it wasn't a must see for me. Better than I expected however. I've tried to watch the 2nd twice now and fell asleep both times. So boring. |
