Self ridges v Bargain shop

Last week I went to the Bull ring shopping centre in Birmingham.

I had a browse around selfridges and saw a beautiful glass vase, which had very very thick glass and stood about 5 foot tall.

It had like a twist in it and a light blue colour in places

It was lovely....price tag £995.00 reduced from £1500.00

During the trip I also went to a bargain shop, and saw the EXACT SAME vase on sale for £49.95

Not a copy! Exactly tbe same! I even went back to selfridges to double check

Isn't it amazing the price disparity just because its selfridges

I wonder if they actually sold any

Customer service and shopping experience differences, I suppose.

Is it that one was blown glass and the other wasn’t but they look exactly the same?

Glasgow / London

Quite likely the bargain shop just got lucky sourcing dead stock from somewhere. Returned stock or bankrupt stock, probably without even knowing what was in the consignment they bought, let alone what each item was worth.

Buy the cheap vase, do the research on exactly what it is - brand, model, designer, etc - and then sell it on eBay. Make yourself a wee profit.
