Scratch and sniff.
Great for baking vlogs and online cookery shows.
Not so good for STD self diagnosis websites and rate my poo pages.

AI
Specifically AI and machine learning systems that will support decision making, sell products, underpin communication, provide free and paid for services, integrate in to IOT's, provide entertainment, and, well the list goes on and on.
If you think of "The Internet" as just being like a really complex spider's web, with billions of nodes connected to sites and devices, that "underlying" web which is served by top level domains will instead be directed by AI.
I think it so important, that the existing OSI model of 7 layers, will become 8, with a new AI layer. That's how fundamental I believe it will become. |

In all seriousnesss I think mastodon will gain in popularity.
More personal and considered interactions will prevail as sm companies work more on taking keyboard warriors.
Activism will become more tailored to being proactive as it’s gone too far towards words and no action, we’re already seeing a backlash on this in certain areas |
