Amazing.
I texted my friend straight after and she was disappointed - thought the ending was underwhelming and they shoehorned the Faisal side plot in too much. I think the strength of this show though is in how much happens off camera and is then just relayed, I find that far more realistic than soap opera type dramatic glances at the camera. It wouldn't have been realistic either for 60yr old Catherine to batter an evil Tommy again, this was so much more layered than a big action finish. |

I think they needed another 30 minutes to clarify some things x
Like
Why did they go back on the deal with Tommy? Is that defo what they were going to do?
What happened to the pharmacist? The impact on his family.
What happened to that mob guy? (Forgot his name) how did he react to his brother dying? Was he ever arrested?
How did Ryan react hearing about his dad? Where's his head at now?
It's those little things that niggle at me haha

Final episode was bitter sweet, couldn’t wait for it to arrive but now sad that it has finally finished.
Can see what a few have said about it being rushed with the Faisal story but overall it was genius throughout and will go down as a classic of it’s genre. |

"I've never seen it - can't get past my image of her as raquel (sp!?)
George Costigan from Rita, Sue and Bob Too was in it. He looks such an old man now. I only recognised him by his voice"
Siobhan Finneran who played Catherine's sister was in Rita, Sue and Bob Too as well, think she was Rita. |

They can't cover every little detail though, can't they?
The implication was that Darius was arrested though - Stewart from the Thick of It said "TLR and Darius Knesernesnerneservic in one day".
I think the implication was also that the gang were always going to do away with TLR - he knew too much and was a loose cannon. They wanted him out of prison and dead. |

I really loved the whole 3 series, sad its ended. Altho I now need the actor who played Tommy Lee Royce to play some sort of hero role so I can carry on fancying the pants off him without feeling guilty! he played the villain brilliantly. |

Great show, will miss it. Didn’t enjoy the ending too much though. Started off well but felt very rushed. The crime syndicate side story and the pharmacist story was pushed to the side.
Also would have been great to see Catherine get a good send off on her last day of duty. |

There’s plenty there for a fourth series.
Does Ann continue in her role? Or start to unravel through PTSD?
Does Ryan go on to join the police after school?
Does Catherine end up with George?
What happens with Clare and Neil? Does Neil turn out to be a wrongun after all…? |

They literally can cover most details with more time. Plus the pharmacist was a major plotline and to not even see him get arrested or anything is a letdown. |

Well this is where we differ as I have absolutely no interest in seeing someone being arrested. I'm happy with the implication he was.
I thought it was a great ending. |

Yep, far too many loose ends and unsatisfactory finish. I kind of wanted to see him in the hospital bed... Maybe open one eye from the coma... The teacher and chemist lines were just summed up... And how did they get the drug dealer?!
The scene with Tommy and Catherine was the best bit. |

Maybe I'm the odd one out but I'd never even heard of this until a month ago.
I binged all 3 seasons because of the hype and I really don't get it at all.
I thought the acting was poor and telegraphed while the storylines were weak and forced.
There was nothing new or original about it and I was left with a "is that it?" feeling afterwards. |
