You have good pictures but your profile is not well-written ('av', 'def', 'wot'??) and could do with more detail perhaps. Pedantic, I know, but you won't impress people with it overly if you cannot get even simple words right. You were probably going for a casual approach when you wrote it but it does not come across well. |

I guess it depends on your expectations.... Some people might find a two day old verification on the profile of someone claiming not to be getting much luck a bit unrealistic... …...
Personally I think your probably doing better than many guys in your position….
But if its genuinely not enough for you, Perhaps a plan B might be a better option….
Good luck whatever you decide |

Our profiles are supposed to reflect our personality. If you think yours does that, then keep it as it is. If we rewrite your profile then it's our personalities that come through and not yours.

"The spelling in your profile makes you come across like a poorly educated chav.
"

"And I'd lose the last picture (the other 3 are fine), but you are clearly sitting very close to a female that has been edited out.
"
You look like you need to stand up straight in your picture! Lol |

I think it's against forum rules to critique someones profile unless it has been specifically requested... |

How's it putting him down. That's the perception it gives. And that's an opinion that has been stated by many members on many occasions when people use that very basic level of text speak.
At the end of the day, it may not matter to some people but it will put plenty of people off. And I doubt anyone has ever had their profile passed by because it is well written and contains no spelling mistakes. |

I didnt say you was wrong as far as he should change his spelling but you are wrong to suggest that people who cant spell must be chavs.... Thats just stupid! |

As a dyslexic myself I am unlikiley to suggest that someone that can't spell is a chav. I was refering to the use of terms like Av, Def and Wat, which are nothing to do with not being able to spell and just lazy.
And the OP has already updated his profile to remove them. Which suggests he thought I had a point. I'm stepping aside from this thread now as for reasons I fail to understand you appear to be intent on derailing it and just attacking me which is not fair on the OP. |

I find profiles which rely on loose uninformative blanket terms like “open-minded or like-minded and looking for fun” don’t capture my interest at all…..
Surely one of the most valuable functions of any profile based contact site is to provide a platform for members to display up-front informative descriptions of their specific preferences in order to save other members from wasting time or taking pot luck when searching for potential partners who match their specific preferences..
Or maybe I'm wrong.... eh! |
