"Try 'The Crocodile' (AKA The Croc) in Harrington Street - nr Hard Days Night Hotel.
It's a non food pub but the lay out is fantastic and it's not too pricey."
Mathew street (near that hotel) is bouncing of a nighttime. Live music, lots of bars to grab a drink, you can’t go wrong for a visitor. |

Lobster Pot already recommended.
My favourite area is around Bold Street, plenty of restaurants and bars.
Outside of the City Centre you could head up to Lark Lane near Sefton Park. Also has some really decent eating and drinking places. ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

We weren't there long enough to try many places. We went to Mowgli (mainly because I have a slight obsession with their chat bombs and tamarind treacle potatoes), the Thai restaurant at the docks was nice, and there are a couple of decent burrito places.
There were so many more places that looked good though, there was a Brazilian steakhouse that smelt wonderful - we just didn't have time to try them all. |
