It's not a spelling mistake it's a whole different word with a whole different meaning lol, lighten up, I am sure the OP sees the funny side.

Both of your posts have been good on this thread. Pointing out the error but also acknowledging the sentiment.
Some people just seem intent on showing others up on here.....oh to be perfect eh??? |

The English language is one of the hardest to endure.
Take the words, bough and bow, both pronounced the same.
How about all the bastardised English that has changed meanings over the years?
A 'Richard the 3rd' used to mean a 'bird' (woman) in Cockney ryhming slang. It now means 'turd'.
Take the word 'scabbard' wich means 'sheath' which in turn another word may be used in it's place, 'c*nt'.
Word play is a wonderful gift.
We all know what the young man meant, he was corrected on his grammar, so he has learnt a valid English lesson.
The correct phrase derives from Latin/Greek origin of Carpe Diem, which translates as 'Pluck' the day, not seize, as it is commonly refered to.
Now, please all have a wonderful day on this eve of a new year and stop being a bunch of sheaths!

Ceasing the day "
To cease the day, do you have to start it by getting out of bed first cos I'm all comfy and don't want to move. |

Actually, the word English has a capital as it is a proper noun. |
