Wow!

The caption above on its own is not a massive drama. But when it is accompanied with a catalogue of dos and donts, the real question pops up: do you want it in your back garden or in the pub down the road?

In a land of make believe (Derby)

I'm one that's got this on my profile. My reasons one, I will not accom because I've got children living with me, two I do not drive so I cannot travel far. I can travel around Derby, I say I cannot travel because I was getting messages from people very far away from where I live, so its just easier to say I don't travel.

There is always the option to ask someone with this on their profile what they mean by it?

Or maybe its written in their profile?

+1 I have a child and cats, and dont want stalkers.

I am struggling with transport as will have no car in 4 weeks. Until I can find other means of transport, I will not meet

I come across profiles like this and it baffles me to. Maybe if they added a sentence to their profile to say can travel locally, meet in hotel etc, would clarify to person who may want to initiate contact.

In a crisp poke on the A814

They dont accommodate....Thats simple enough!

They dont travel.............Means they will meet local and within easy distance.........Does NOT mean they dont leave the house

Whats so hard to understand???

Clacton on sea, Essex

If you can't accommodate & only go to the nearest car park or around the corner you are traveling are you not?

In some cases it does mean they won't leave the house.

I had a message a while ago from a guy that can't accom or travel. This guy lived 40 miles away.

I can accom but not travel.

So I asked this guy how we were supposed to meet.

His reply I spend money, get on a train, and comes to his.

When I pointed out he can't accom according to his profile. He said only when wife is in he can't accom.

Seems he wanted his cake and eat it, wants a meet in the marital bed, female to travel by public transport yet not prepared to travel himself.

I don't meet married guys so meet wouldn't happen, but if a guy messaged saying can't travel, I would expect him to travel to a hotel half way between his and mine, and to split hotel costs.

Like I said earlier a simple sentence included in a profile can save time in wasted messages.

And that would be if you LIKED him in the first place!

I think the problem as stated is those that can't accomodate defining the extent of their travel.

The option they should use is CAN TRAVEL to identify that they can make it to the designated accommodation and then set a filter to stop people over a certain mileage from messaging(if this isn't an option it should be, if this is then why is it not used properly?)

Of course, I wouldn't contemplate meeting anyone I didn't like

I use a local hotel very close to home and consider it as accommodation.

Sexytown, Moray

I don't accomodate - live at home with children

I don't travel - as I share my car with a friend

But states very clearly on my profile I meet in local hotels or my local club
