OK gamers, I've just been blown away with Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, and feeling a tad bereft now that I've finished it.

Can anyone help a gal out with a recommendation for my next quest please? One that can at least match the beauty and playability of Ghost - assuming such a beast exists...

Not played ghost, but I just finished Uncharted 4 on the PS4 and thought that was great - good story, great visuals

Yep, progressed from the Uncharted games to Ghost, via Last of Us (which I wasn't too keen on and have left that to go back to at some point in the distant future). Loved all the Uncharted games - the story, character and visual development through the games was awesome.

I’ll say Elden Ring, but difficulty is way higher than ghost of Tsushima

The God of war series are great storytelling games

Red dead redemption 2 is great too

And it's a bit older, but Witcher 3 with the dlc is a must

North East Scotland, mostly

Tsushima was beautiful - I played on PS5. Tbh there really isn’t anything quite like it but, as said above, Horizon (Zero Dawn and the sequel Forbidden West) gives you the world-building and sights to see that might satisfy.

Difficult that ghost of Tsushima if one of the best of not the best PS games.

God of war, god of war ragnarok are very good.

Elden ring is good but difficult and can get frustrating.

I would also certainly recommend god of war(2018) and especially the latest GOW ragnarok! I’ve just moved onto the dead space remake, which is absolutely terrifying!! I’m shatting my pancreas every 2 mins!!

As others have said both Horizon games are fantastic as is Witcher 3. Along the same lines I loved Cyberpunk 2077 and played it on ps4. You can get the Mass Effect bundle on PS store to get ready for the new one due to come out in a few years.

I thought it was. It crashed a couple of times but it has an excellent story and a huge world to get lost in

Might have to give it a go then! Just got myself a nice new gaming laptop so I’m trying to find games that’ll make it struggle and find its limit. It’s just laughed at anything thrown at it up to now

Ooh how did I miss this thread? I've recently completed Tunic, which is a beautifully detailed game, a piece of art really! Massively recommend. At the moment I'm enjoying the frantic chaos of Overcooked 2 with randoms online.

Tunic is a wonderful game, found it hard to get used to at first, as it’s not the usual type of game I’d play, but I’m enjoying it.

I'm working my way through Elden Ring now. Hated it at first, but I'm over the (ridiculously steep) learning curve and loving it now. The Lands Between is a beautifully realised environment.

Get rid of the PS4 and get a gaming pc they're much better than console and you can use other sites (not sure if I can post a link here) to get the game/game code cheaper!

Don't be that person. Don't be the PC snob. Without going niche, they really are not "better" than console, the majority of people would be better served by consoles for their simple convenience, nothing a PC can do will ever top such a simple thing for the masses and leisure/part time gamers.

If you're playstation, literally anything exclusive.

Ff7 remake, horizons, gow and Ragnarok, days gone is actually really good despite the hate. Spiderman, obviously.

PS make the best single player adventure games basically. Sorry Xbox.

A decent pc also costs a lot more to build and run a game with good graphics smoothy, they're money pits and there's no worry of getting a virus on a console.

They do have generally better priced games though, which may make a difference over time. Especially with certain game code sites. Games can have longer life too through the use of player created mods and add ons.

But yes I agree with you. I say as a self built pc addict

I disappear off the site for a couple of days and my thread explodes!

Thanks everyone. Some awesome additions to my list here.

I've been loaned Horizon Zero Dawn and GoW, and have just started on Horizon. Seems pretty good so far, but I'm still missing Jin Sakai...

I thought GOT was a little overrated to be honest! But again, when games like Horizon and Days Gone came before it, it just felt more of the same.

Horizons story is chefs kisses x

There's sites to get the codes for games cheaper on consoles, I've used them. Really the only good thing about pc is as you say the mods and obviously steam. There's only so many games you can play though

My ex spent almost 2k on her pc, it could run anything at max but 2k is crazy money.
