The problem I have with Lidl is that it feels very dead inside. Aldi just feel warmer as weird as that sounds haha |

Lidls for the win.
Aldi doesn't have any vegan products at the store I've shopped at, and Lidl has a reasonable few vegan items, so as I'm trying to eat more plant based, it's a no brainer really. |

Interesting. Are you talking like for like size stores or ? |

Well! I’ve actually noticed quite a variation in availability of products as I travel round.
But, in general, Lidl seem to stock much better and varied items than Aldi now, can’t remember the last time I went in to the latter for a loaf and came out with a random canoe or chopsaw |

Remember that time you thought you were behind them but were actually in front of them?
That was a day and a half. |

"Aldi tends to be an absolute mess whereas Lidl is neat and tidy.
Aldi sells the better wines though by far, so it’s a win for me "
Lidl looks like it was laid out by Stevie Wonder whilst on acid.
Aldi at least looks like a proper supermarket, even if the middle aisle is a hotch potch of all and sundry in no particular order.

Except when you see some of the customers poking the stuff with their fingers and then get a different one or none at all. Many of them seem to be rather adverse to the idea of using tongs. Never again for me. |

Only use it in the early morning when it's fresh.
But I get that, you have to be careful, go for the very back stuff (with the tongues ofc)

"Aldi.
Lidl is a load of shite.
Nothing to add, just browsing your goods
I have fish fingers on aisle seven.
Can I squeeze your soft naps before I see if my sausage fits between them? "
My soft naps? What are those?
But yes you can. I love a sausage. |

Like soft baps, but aldi & Lidl don't want to pay the licence fee for the name bap...so, errr, they do naps- everyone loves a nap on some soft baps don't they? |

You can't get champagne for lemonade money
you can in Lidl....unless you're comparing it to the price of Lidl lemonade"

"We're spoilt for choice here in Wrexham.
2 Aldi's plus a third a few miles from the city centre.
2 Lidls
1 Morrissons
1 Asda
1 Tesco
1 Sainsburys
"
It’s gotta be Sainsbury's, hot posh ladies, or Asda if after a hard day at work, you’re feeling the horn for perving a filthy bag of rotten parsnips. It’s a tough choice sometimes isn’t it. |

What about Waitrose?
We've not got one here but there's one over in Chester. |

I do not use either as I can never make a complete shop,I did try but always two or three things not available.
I returned to Morrisons where I shopped for some 30 years and am happy to continue to do so. |

The Aldi in town is not a nice shopping experience,if you buy fruit and veg today your chucking it out tomorrow cos its gone off and the till experience is just a joke. Your lucky if there's 2 tills open but always 20 or more people queuing and when it comes to your turn the shopping comes at you so fast they might as well throw it at you.
The last time i went in there to do any shopping it was that bad i walked out and left all the contents of my trolley on the till bagging area after it had been scanned. The manager chased me out to the car park and started giving me a lecture about 'you can't do that, you need to pay for it and take it away' why the fuck should i pay for broken and damaged goods that weren't broken or damaged when i placed them on the the conveyor ?
Its a joke in there, they don't give a toss about the 'customer experience' just meeting till item speed targets, i'll never use an Aldi again after that.
Lidl on the other hand is much better. We don't have one in town and the nearest is in the next town 6 miles away and i use that regularly, fruit and veg seems to last much longer and staff on the tills are much better and don't hurl your shopping at you as fast as they can. It's worth travelling to shop there. |

I think the wine selection in Lidl is great. Always got some decent reds there. |
