Rock may make an appearance but I don't think he'll really wrestle especially since the last time he did he got badly injured. He might do a couple of Rock Bottoms.
Cody's return has been promoted too much for to not win the rumble.

The Rock won't be entering, he has stated he wouldn't be in ring shape for Wrestlemania, never mind rumble.
Sahsa Banks, or Mercedes Mone is now wrestling in Japan, so highly unlikely either of them will be at the Royal Rumble. |

Not been watching it week to week but been keeping tabs on what's been going on. Sami Zayn for the story, but have a feeling it will be Cody Rhodes with how they've been hyping his return.

Sure dashs debuted for njpw at the wrestle kingdom event in January. Dwayne won't wrestle he is insured for too much money by Hollywood its probably gonna be Cody for the mens and rhea for the women's but she will make an appearance in the men's too |

The result is predetermined, but the bits in between, the ebb-and-flow of the match is not necessarily known by the audience before, and the display of athleticism from the participants as they attempt to recreate the drama of a sport that isn't predetermined, is still impressive to watch.
Eastenders & Coronation Street are also fake but people still watch because they're life-like & have what many people (although not me) consider to be engaging storylines. |
