Seen a ghost

Driving through the lakes back to our rented cottage on Sat, pitch black , you couldnt see a yard in front of you.
Obviously I had the full beam on, turned a corner and there was a old lady stood there at the side of the road, smartly dressed, just stood there miles from anywhere.
I stopped about 50 yards past, and despite my GF screaming not to i backed up to see if she needed a lift or was ok, and no one there
Nowhere she could have gone, impossible. Thick hedges lining the road, no paths leading off - thats when we got a little scared lol
GF slept with her head under the covers all night ( yes i tried ) |

Saw what we think was one on m26! Years ago! Well at first thought it was a alive man! So much so I was a passenger and phoned the police! He stepped out from side of road waving my daughter driving nearly shit herself! Did some research and was an accident there a grandad with his grandchildren he died in hospital and were sightings of him returning to the scene! Who knows? |

I worked in care homes for many years, i haven’t seen one, but I’ve sensed our residents that have passed round us. Especially when they’ve just passed away, silly things like their sensors going off. Or doors opening and closing when that’s what the person would do!
Our youngest daughter is currently adamant she can see grandma, my husbands mum … she passed away 5 weeks after she was born, apparently she’s always in our house and regularly sits on the sofa haha!

Have definitely sensed people I know that have passed over the years! Can't explain really not seeing them but feeling them smelling them! One so much so it was a haunting and funny enough (or not) he did say he would come haunt me! Was my late partner father of my youngest 3 children ! After he became my ex x |

Working away from home woke suddenly in a B&B with a dark figure standing beside the bed. So real I jumped up swinging my fists and shouting. When I made it to the light switch I was alone in the room?
I went out and slept in the van. The next morning when I came in for the fry the landlord laughed and me and said you must have met our other guest! He never elaborated and he I booked a different B&B for the week.
For a long time after I slept with the bedside lamp on where ever I was! |

Few year's ago I was staying at my friend's, an old converted stable, I was alone except for the dogs, I heard footsteps in the room, I put the light on thinking my friend's had come back early, but there was no one there, I slept with the light on, when my friend's came home I told them about the footsteps thinking they were going to tell me the place was haunted, instead they burst out laughing and told me it was Percy, a peacock that lived on the estate and would walk on the roof of the stable, phew thank goodness for that, |

Seen, heard, "felt" a few over the years. Sometimes it's terrifying, mostly it's not. Lots of people believe and lots don't, that's okay we are all entitled to our own opinion.
Personally the dead don't scare me but the living, they can be a different story.

My lo asked me once who that lady was on a pic that's on the mantelpiece. I explained they were all my grandparents so were her great grandparents. Then she pointed to my nana who I was very very close to and think about everyday. She died 40 years ago |

True story
When I was about 15 I took a short cut to get home on time, this short cut took me through a graveyard
It was really dark, with mist hovering above the stones.
I could hear a tapping sound, and started walking faster
Trouble was the further I walked, the tapping got louder and louder, so I was actually walking in the direction of the sound.
I thought about turning back, but I was over half way through and it made sense to continue
Out of the blue, to my left I saw an old lady kneeling in front of a gravestone with a hammer and chisel, gently tapping away.
I stood there and froze
"It's ok" she said
"They spelt my name wrong" |

Used to live in an old Victorian town house some years ago. We lived there with her Grandfather. When I was on night shift I would sleep in the back bedroom, so my ex didn't wake me up going to work. Usually I am a really heavy sleeper. One day though I woke up to see an old man by the dressing table. Just thought oh it's her grandad and went back to sleep. When she got home I asked her what he was doing. She then pointed out he was out all day every Wednesday. She then asked my what did he look like. It was at that point I realized it wasn't him, due to the fact this man had white hair. She then went a got an old photograph and asked me if one of the three men in it was the one I'd seen. Turns out it was her Great grandfather who died in that room. Never bothered me and I never saw him again.

- I also think there's more to it than them just being 'ghosts'. Think different dimensions. She was probably just as perplexed as you - thought you two were ghosts

Am open minded about this. But there have been many cases of people receiving organ donation from deceased people. Who then changed either personality, food taste, dress sense or hobbies, sometimes all of them. To ones of the organ donar.

It was one of the theories. While all our research has been done on the brain about our intelligence and personality etc.
That all the other cells in our body may have other functions we are not yet aware of.

How the heck can someone die and yet still be here to do these things? Why with all these cameras around do we not see the footage that proves for good?

You're looking at things from a 3D perspective... Our physical earth/world is primarily 3D, but there is so, so much more going on. Some people get it, some don't
I'd love it to be true, we'd all love to have relatives come back in one way, even pets but physically we can't do it. Your dead. Even young children know this fact.
I love Most Haunted,I've been on ghost hunts, but I stopped and asked myself 'how can you come back to life'? Until I have an answer I know it's not true.
Well all I can say for now is - there's a physical plane, earth, which we're all on now. But there's also a spiritual/higher one. Some people are very tuned into the spiritual one. I'm not going to deep (trust me I could ) but answers come to believers - it all makes sense. Souls live on.They move between dimensions. Once created, energy cannot die. I love these stories! We don't even know why we are here or where it all began, so I don't think it can be ruled out. I guess we'll know when we get to the other side. |

So many people have seen/felt things they cannot explain, so keep it to themselves mostly for fear of ridicule (I have no such fear but do keep a lot of things I've experienced to myself). Not everything is 'explainable' nor does it have to be. These sightings absolutely stay with you |
