OP, you've been here a matter of weeks. Most single men wait around a year before they get their first meet, and those are the ones proactively messaging people and putting themselves out there. Yes, a few fair better, but some even less so.

I can't help thinking that you're setting yourself up for much dissappointment with your apparent expectations of the site.

You're a young guy. You have to consider that a lot of people on this site are parents and many have children around your age.
