Do you enter the more toxic threads type a lengthy reply and delete without posting, especially where its something where women would do the same thing and get away with it?

No. If I write it I post it. But there are many threads that I deem so toxic that I don't wish to even comment. Sometimes even acknowledging the OP causes more injury to ones emotional and mental health than any reply would be worth.

I tend to steer clear of subjects that turn toxic. I haven’t got the energy to read half of the bilge that’s written in them. Usually stuff perpetuated by the same people for the purpose of hyping themselves up.

excellently demonstrated.

I don't have the energy or headspace to give the more toxic threads anymore. I'll read the first few posts and think, nah, I'm good. I'll leave that.

Sometimes.

I should also learn that some individuals will want the last word regardless and engaging with them is pointless.

No me neither, can't be bothered with the drama but if someone replies specific to me calling me out let's say, I can't not reply even if I can't be arsed

I don’t see what’s so controversial about asking why pineapple of pizza is wrong anyway.

"Do you enter the more toxic threads type a lengthy reply and delete without posting, especially where its something where women would do the same thing and get away with it? "

Well something toxic and something controversial are two different things. Social media has deemed anything mildly uncomfortable as 'toxic' but that's not what the word means.

In answer to the question, no ive never done that.

And as for women 'getting away' with it, thats a fallacy. The reactions may be different frok other posters if a women posts something, but nobody decides whether i 'get away with' anything or not. In fact the whole concept of 'getting away with it' has no relevance in here

Sometimes I say something, but I do often type out replies and then think ahhh no point, delete!

nope.. i can't deal with confrontation in the slightest, so won't post to them. but i'll click on a thread if it interests me, and read some of the responses.. but ultimately click off of it.

It depends on how much I feel I have to contribute and then if I can be bothered with any follow up.

My mood and effort levels play a part. The topic itself however wont have me shy away from it.

"Get away with what? Having an opinion?"

I think OP is referring to the general phenomena where a bloke (or fem who has fallen out with the clique) saying something will get skewered whereas if someone “fab famous” says it then everyone falls over themselves to say what a great insight.

Personally it just amuses me and I try to stay clear.

Sometimes I feel the need to comment as if you don't challenge a toxic comment, it can become the new norm.

I can get away with anything controversial, as I’m ignored

It’s no different to toxicity on twitter it’s tempting to enter the fray but I tend to just ignore and move on and let others fire off. It won’t change their minds and at the end of the day it’s their problem not mine that they are a delusional toxic twat…

I’m trying to keep out of those threads but sometimes you get so wound up by the inaccuracies of what someone has posted you get sucked in.

Many’s the time I have written a detailed reply, taking ages cos I’m not the most proficient keyboard operator, then deleted it before posting because I have thought better of it, only to find on my return to the lounge , that the entire thread has been removed anyway.

For some of the more compellingly contentious threads, I often draft a response offline, pause and then decide to leave it at that.
