Now there's a local news headline I didn't think I'd be reading today! 
"An investigation from Nottinghamshire FA is under way over reports a player allegedly inserted his finger into an opponent's anus during a Sunday League match.
The alleged incident is supposed to have happened on 8 January, where the unnamed player is said to have inserted a finger or multiple fingers into another player's anus during the game.
A message from the FA's discipline team about the alleged incident has been leaked, providing more details on the supposed event."
I've hear of attackers probing the oppositions defence, but.......

This is nothing new…. There is a player in Aussie rugby league folklore called John hopoate… he got a 12 week suspension for doing it to 3 different opponents in the same game!!! Legendary!!  |

The laws governing sport and assault have long recognised there is a degree of consent to physical contact by those taking part, even to foul play. Otherwise every bad tackle, punch, etc would be a criminal offence. In this case if no complaint has been made and the police are not investigating then calling it an 'assault' is not correct. |
