"Anyone else had demanding emails for bit coins or there going to expose you to family, friends and contacts they have name, address of Mrs
Anyone had similar.
Thank you."
I've had similar saying they had footage from my laptop camera. And demanding money.
If the same Is just like other scam emails.
Unless you've recently been filmed doing something illegal |

I've also had the Smeg kettle one a few times.
They tell you you've won it but have to pay £1.99 shipping.
If you give them your bank details they clear out your bank.
A friend of my daughter's lost a couple of thousand pounds to it. |

Not had emails but constantly get scammers messaging when selling bits on Market place. Say they will send courier with cash to pick up the item. Standard reply from me consists of two words the second word being OFF |

My mum had a related experience but instead of getting her details directly from her, they must have got them when she used her debit card for an online transaction (for which we use a credit card these days).
They didn't clear out her account but did pay for a holiday and some online purchases.
Oh, and paid for Dominoes pizzas..twice. |

Got these years ago telling me they had access to my PC and had recorded me playing with myself while watching porn.
I replied asking for their secret as it was an ancient PC and I didn't even have a webcam. |

A tip for everyone, in case you didn't already know....NEVER use debit cards for online purchases as they're linked directlly to your bank account.
If you have to, use a credit card otherwise, use Paypal. |

Not recently, do suddenly seem to be getting a lot of phishing to my business email though. It's almost as though they now I'm going out on my own shortly and are bombarding me after 4.5yrs of nothing |

There was one a few months back a friend received, that looked like a Police e mail showing the Chief Constable, asking for a £500 fine for child porn found on his computer or else. The cops weren't interested until my mate said I'd was taking legal action against the CC for demanding money with menaces and going to the media. |
