"I was going to get involved and say "Hey another trance fan here".
But you seem to like quite commercial types of trance, so I'm going to back away quietly, and pretend I was never here!! "
Well spill the beans I'm not all commercial either, get involved who do you like?! |

I'm a psy-trance girl.
My favourite DJ's being DJ Prozac who has just gone pro on Champa. Old Skool Style I like Mark Sinclair from the Pendragon name who is a personal friend, and also Beamish and Sutekh. |

I go to a funky little club in Brixton called 414. Prozac used to hold a psy-trance night there on the first Saturday of the month, but he's no longer resident because of the label. It's still a psy-trance night though, so go as regular as I can.
Pendragon did an Escape to Sansara event this year, which was truly epic. Trapeze artists and dancers, was awesome.
Last new year I went to an awesome legal rave in a warehouse, 5 rooms with hardcore, psy-trance, happy hardcore, all sorts, and an amazing chill out room with a very hippyish feel, some awesome entertainers. Got tickets to go again this year, but feeling quite ill, so not sure if I'll make it. |

Hallucinogen

Infected mushroom
Younger brother"
Can anyone who recognises these names suggest something similar for us to check out? |

Ooooh Trance! Would you believe Dave Pearce was playing Tiesto on Radio 2 last night?
Huge fan here - Tiesto (although not his sell out recent crap) PVD, Gareth Emery, A&B, the usual Euphoria crowd really.
Love the ASOT radio shows (downloadable via torrents if you're not averse to breaking the law!). In fact, there's due to be the 2012 round up in the next few days, if not already.
Shame Bristol is so ferkin devoid of taste that the only thing that gets played here is RnB and cheesey shite. Even the DnB has died off. Booooo!
HT (D'ya see where the name came from? ) |

Guilty as charged. Psy-Trance fan/producer/performer & ex-glow stick loving podium dancer here.
Escape from Samsara, Catch 22, Anti-World & Undertow being my favourite London haunts.
Surprised nobody's mentioned Astral Projection, K90, Lab-4 & the Zen Terrorists. Guess I'm showing my age.

For alternatives to Hallucinogen & infected mushroom (Psy-Trance): try Astral Projection, Man with No Name, Han Solo.
For alternatives to Shpongle (Psy-Chillout): try Asura, Carbon based life forms, OTT, Solar Fields, Vibrasphere, Huva network.

Thanks for that link Foxy.
I would also suggest the iphone app named "Tunein Radio". This has dozens of 24 hour trance radio stations broadcast via the web and they're all free
Question for the OP, do you take your cans off for sex?

"Gareth emery is good meet him in ministry got rather excited. Be nice too know if anyone going too any events in the up and coming year"
He seems nice enough but I don't rate him as a great DJ. Seen him several times now and his sets are always the same.
Not sure which festivals I'll be going to this year... But it won't be Creamfields, that's for sure. |

No I am not but I do remember going to Cafe Rene in Gloucester on my birthday as the club I wanted to go to was shut. It was my introduction to trance as I had never heard of it before. The place was full of spaced out drugged up kids, I also remember it for the comment the DJ made when he said "the next track I am going to play, is my favourite" and it didn't sound any different to the one he had played before was a good night though as went with family and friends |

Saw Gareth Emery at Air in Brum a few years back - best night ever! It was hoofing down with rain, the crowd didn't give a shit and then he dropped Sanctuary and everyone went nuts.

We love Above and Beyond. If you really do like trance you should get the podcasts. 2 hours of mindblowing awesomeness every week! I've got enough of that stuff on my ipod to last a solid 22 days!!! |

I really want to go to Boom Festival in Portugal, but don't think I'll get there this year. |

Loved trance forever though I couldnt name you one DJ lol .... momorable time though was stumbling across a German DJ duo on a Thai Island. Best way to see the dawn come up - better than the Full Moon party over there. Being half way up a mountain, in a bar made of bamboo a group of maybe only 70 nutters.
Would love to be able to remember their names... deep, dark, sonic, stompers ummmm |

We are going to DS, ASOT 600 Den Bosch and Trance Sanctuary.
Also going to Electronic Family, Global Gathering and, with any luck, SW4.
On the Fridays we aren't off on our travels you will find us at The Gallery at MoS.
I guess you could say we like Trance |

Another trance, hard house and on some occasions hardcore fan here. Spent a lot of my early 20's at the Opera House in Bournemouth at Slinky events.
I remember seeing Lisa Pin Up there, was she something to do with the Tidy Boys label at any point? for some reason they sprung to mind when I read Lisa Pin Up.
Those were the days |

Opera house Bournemouth!
I can remember when Eddie Halliwell was resident there and Sonique.
Had some good laughs there..I went off the rails a bit at that time.

"Any trance fans around?!
Armin, Van Dyk, Tiesto, SHM, Chicane? more electric than trance but still bloody good listening"
Aww Chicane's "Behind The Sun" album, & pretty much any Groove Armada are the soundtracks to my summers. Tiesto at Braehead Arena during Coloursfest another highlight, & Chemical Brothers MTV Awards Edinburgh all great memories. If only Mish Mash were still throwing bashes in Glasgow but I guess there's always The Arches for a good ole booty shakin. |
