So apparently this is a new "dating show". Along the lines of Love Island etc.
I think you can guess the basic premise, older women looking for "love" with a younger man. Nothing wrong with that at all. Seems all fine so far doesn't it.
8 ladies between ages 40 and 60. 8 younger men roughly all the same age, early to mid 20s. Again, fair enough so far, preferences and all that.
So here is the catch, each guy is the son of one of the older ladies...
This is a real show. Somebody thought this concept up, it was Greenlit, and it was filmed. |

Also the awkwardness of the guys "bonding" while they are dating each others mums.
As far as I know, the mums and sons didn't know they were to be on the same show. Of course tv is often scripted as we know so they may very well know and following the script. |

I've seen several posts by people asking 'would you have sex with you friend's mum/dad?' or 'would you have sex with your friend's son/daughter?' plenty say they would.

But this seems to be a case of being with the knowledge of their mum/son knowing that is happening, the flirting right in front of each other. Less about would you have sex with your son's friend/friends mum, and more would you be okay with your friend having sex with your mum/son.
Living in one of those reality TV houses all together and seeing the flirting right in front of you etc. |

Seems the idea of the show is breaking the stigma of older women dating and having sex with younger men. That part is great, it's a positive thing to do. Just in a shite reality TV show way.
The mum/son witnessing the other dating/flirting/knowing is the awkwardness about the show, that little catch to really stand out and draws the attention away from the age thing. |
