Yes. Finding out you have a flat tyre, remembering you dont actually have a spare wheel because your car comes with one of those shit pump and gunk systems.....and realising you haven't bought a new can of gunk since the last time you drove over a nail.
So you're basically fucked.

Do that thing where you drag a foodbag of hottish water over your windows. The most satisfying way ever to de ice a car Ive found. And you get to grasp a squidgy bag of warmth for your troubles. |

"Why some cats take so long to melt off the ice whilst others seem to do it so quickly "
Probably short haired vs long haired.
Mexican hairless cats don't take long at all to defrost.

"It’s not rocket science, allow extra time to do so , & those idiots who drive looking out of a port hole need to seriously have a word with themselves.
Before the police have a word. "

Warm water not hot is fine. I have myself and known people that have been doing it for years and years, never been a problem

I have been feeling extremely smug recently. Just pull out my phone when I'm getting dressed, click the app and the car is defrosted when I get out there |

"Windscreen blanket is an absolute game changer! Always kind of sniggered at people using them, but we’ve both been converted to the plan ahead brigade. "
With you on that - look at those boring losers...oh actually, they are spot on lol
Forgot mine earlier, poured hot water as in a rush...which promptly refroze. Rookie mistake. |

I don't drive so don't know what that's like. But I do know what it's like to be late and have a small human refuse to put on clothes, or shoes, or a coat, or fill their n@ppy just when they're fully dressed and you're about to leave the house. All good fun |

I've not had to de-ice my car in years cos I live in apartment block where my parking space is under the building. Been looking to relocate and need garage or covered space. Seems quite rare! |

Prevention is always better than cure.
Ford have heated windscreens, with micro wires, which are only visible in thick fog. The buggers won't let others use this in other manufacturers' cars. Bastard. Quick enough to use open source seat belts though! |

De-icing my own car (thankfully helped by heated front and rear screens/mirrors)
Then having to de-ice my work van. Big screen and no heaters. Seems to take forever. 2023 and I'm scr aping ice ...
