"A quick seach in the cd/tv category throws up page after page of m to f trans, m to f crossdressers etc.
However, you rarely if ever see the opposite.
Why is this?
Google [F2M Stealth]"
Had a google. Really interesting and learnt something new. Thanks for sharing. |

"I am aware of two female to male trans people, but can't say much more without disclosing too much. It's within a fairly small group of people that we have both of these individuals. "
Im not asking you to say anything or disclose anything about them. Im just wondering why it all seems to be in the m to f direction, certainly on here anyway |

I can't answer that question unfortunately. |

Fair enough. Im sure theres no single answer to it, just looking for thoughts really. With such an imbalance, there must be something behind it |

Well if you've read the F2M Stealth resources, you'll know that once Testosterone courses through your body, then for us post puberty trans women the "damage" is already done. So very few of us can pass easily and hey-ho, it's part of life's lemons so we make lemonade.
If you're cis female and start on transition where testosterone is injected into you, then the voice drops, hair grows and after a while you can't tell they are trans men.
There are a lot of Trans Men among us you have no idea ... |

So are you suggesting that, on here at least, they are in fact just creating profiles as men, and not tv/ts? |

Errr. No. Why would they transition into a men, and then wear women's clothes? You're not making any sense?
They are unlikely to be attracted to men.
I know quite a few F2M trans men who were (butch or at least very "tomboy") lesbians. So as (now) solo men it is hard to find shags here with solo women anyway.
They are more likely to find shags in lesbian / bi women's sites... The only one I know is Gaydar Girls for example.
Besides, creating a phallus is suuuuper difficult and not many trans men have penises. More likely they've had "top surgery" (double mastectomy) and "bottom surgery" (hysterectomy). |

Your last post said there are most likely lots of trans men amongst us but we dont know it, so logically i assumed you meant they are setting up profiles here as men, instead of tv/ts.
Is that not what you meant? |

Also, who suggested anything about wearing womens clothes? I never said anything about that |

You asked if trans men here would be down as regular guys or TV/TS?"
Yeah, so where is the dress reference coming from? |

"As they're f2m I doubt they'd put tv/ts on their profile.
Why not? M2f ones do? "
Not all do as some ts have female and state on their profile they're trans.
Fab also doesn't separate TV and ts.
It's the individual preference at the end of the day there could be some in the tv/ts category |

Good point actually, I've never come across a profile where they identify in that manner.
Maybe Fab needs to sort its identification categories out to be more inclusive? |

As usual in so many things in life, as most surgeons are (hetro cis) male, viginaplasty has been perfected so many trans women have virginas that are indistinguishable from cis.
Not so much work has gone into phallus so the options for trans men are piss poor. I have been to trans conferences where some trans men are quite proud to roll their sleeves up to show the (4"x8") doner material scars on their forearms. |

But if it was a fab thing, then surely we wouldnt see many m2f trans either?
Could it be that there are just not that many f2m trans in general life and thus even less on fab? |

Well there's not as many as m2f but there a fair few f2m about, far far more than I ever imagined there was, before I actually made an effort to find out more about support groups ect for a family member.
In fact there is a young f2m councillor for Devon who seems an awesome role model for people who may be considering it. |

As a proud f to m crossdresser I’d say the reason that isn’t on here more often is that it’s socially acceptable for women to dress in men’s clothes. It’s still taboo the other way round (stupid eh? clothes are clothes)
Personally I think “tv/ts” is pretty outdated and fab should probably make the options more inclusive! Trans-men are men, trans-women are women. |

You may be onto something regarding crossdressing from female to male, its not big a leap in clothing as the other direction? What about f2m trans though? How come they're largely not on here?
I disagree with your last point though. By all means split up ts and tv, but trans men or women shouldnt be in the men and women categories |

One of my partners is transmasc. He just clicked the M box and had it in his profile that he was trans when he had a profile on here.
Tv/ts is too often only interpreted as men dressing as women. Plus it really doesn't matter what someone started out as once all the surgeries are done. |

When I joined I must admit that I was a little surprised to see there was no option for Transgender and just tv/ts in the same 'grouping' hence I popped it into the first line of my profile. It's there and I am up front and proud of who I am.
As for 'Trans'men, I have met a few (not on here) some have described themselves as Transmen some as men. At the end of the day we are all individual and it comes down to each persons choice as to how they describe themselves during/after transitioning. Like many things there is rarely a simple catch all answer.
Complicated world innit.
As for the clothing thing..they are not women's clothes...they are my clothes.
What was the question again? |

The question was why no f2m tv or ts on here when the place is awash with m2f tv and ts |

No idea. There may be some/lots but they don't use the forums and/or they may just put it in their profile and have male as their 'category'. Maybe they are just on other apps/meet sites.
Interesting question though.

Well it wouldn’t do if we were all the same. I don’t think it does anyone any favours the tv/ts category.
Trans-women are kinda fetishised too, maybe that has something to do with it? |

My son if f2m trans and you wouldn’t know if you didn’t know him before I’m also on many parents groups for parents with trans kids and I’d say it’s an even mix of m2f and f2m so not sure why there are not more on fab maybe they just state it in there profiles. |

In the 2021 census, there are the same number of trans men as there are trans women in the UK and this reflects statistics from GICs (Gender Identity Clinics) too.
As for the TV/TS 'category', many people in that category don't live their lives as transgender women, a lot of transgender women we've seen on here will just make a Woman's profile and acknowledge they are trans in their bio. There are many who don't of course, but in terms of actual transgender women from what I've seen how they categorise themselves on here is about equal across the two available gender options.
Trans Men at some point lived their lives as women and were socialised as women, so they very likely have the same safety concerns about a site like Fab that puts many women off of joining (or if they do join they soon leave never to return after having their inbox flooded with all sorts of messages, mostly from creepy men)...
Agree with those saying Fab needs to bring its categories into the year 2023 though. Transgender/Transexual is not the same as Transvestite and that is not the same as being a CD, yet there is one category for all of us? It doesn't make sense. There are also no categories for Non-Binary people, Intersex, Genderfluid, Agender, Bigender etc...it all feels very dated at this point. |
