Now living on my own I'm having to learn new skills

Ironing is something I'm really struggling with

Are clothes steamers any good?

Or pay a service

But I do question how a grown man can't iron

Surely you mean don't iron socks, undies, sheets, towels and jeans?

Was just about to say the same thing. Practice make perfect, just get stuck into it, beer, music or footy and accept the new hour or 2 you will never get back but you have clothes ready to wear!

North West

Just hang things up when wet, make sure you've given them a good shake and smoothed out and it'll dry without creases. We've not ironed anything for possibly years. Mr KC buys non-iron shirts from Next.

Never use either! But did let my grandaughter use her steamer on the dress I bought to wear to her wedding! Was very easy to use and worked well x

Cheshire

The army taught me how to iron, so I’ve not exactly an expert but I’m pretty good at it.

Just be careful about the heat as you can easily burn a shirt or trousers. Must admit it’s only shirts that I iron these days though.

Practice makes perfect

Just hang it straight up from the dryer or maiden and nobody seems to care about a few wrinkles. only ever iron for special occasions. Do prefer a hot iron to a steamer.
