What made you choose the range you’ve chosen?
Are people so different at 41 than they are at 40? Did you do it to keep it tidy…cut offs in decade increments ?

I left mine open because people with the right attitude can be any age.
I have met older people and younger people.
Some who are younger know themselves, their wants, needs and consequences better than some with more years but less awareness.
Some older people still have the enthusiasm, openess and fun attitude some younger people lack.
At the end of the day ots a personal choice I suppose. |

Mines chosen to act as another filter for messages more than anything else really. I don't put it much higher though because unfortunately I've found too many people lie about their age and say they are 50ish when they are actually a lot older. My lower limit is roughly about how low in age I would go though. |

I've never been with a woman older than me at any stage in my life so my upper limit is irrelevant really.
My lower age limit will always be 10 years above the age of my eldest daughter and I adjust it every year.
That's set in stone and isn't open for negotiation. |

I had to check mine; completely forgot what it was.
I think it was mainly chosen for filtering processes, to help reduce mail. I'm not particularly strict about it but as a general thing I'm more interested in those age ranges. To be honest, if it wasn't for the fact I like meeting women and women in couples, it would be a lot narrower. |

The cut off has to be drawn somewhere right? Helps with message filters and I am not a fan of men much younger than me. The upper range probably should come down a little. I suppose I altered it at some point as an exception with someone in mind at the time.

Ours is a guideline the upper limit being more flexible than the lower one as we have a child who is early 20s and wouldn't want to meet one of her friends by chance but usually it depends on the person and their maturity |

Ours is more of a message filter as above and below those ages the messages tended to be less interesting.
Given we mostly meet at clubs ages are largely irrelevant as it goes on attraction at the time. I've never been asked my age in a club in over a decade.
It's also different for us as there's a fair few years between Fox and I anyway. She runs the inbox and does her own browsing so age doesn't come into play when searching.
I've always wondered jow things would play out if Fab did away with ages on profiles and people had to make choices based on what they saw and read. Might stop a lot of lazy silhouette profile pic profiles and let's face it - line up 20 ranfom people from 31 to 50 years old and toud be hard pushed to accurately guess everyone's age correctly.

Set mine 30 to 55 because I'm happy to go a few years older, but younger I decided to stop at the point they could be young enough to be my kids. 30 is still very mature though, so I can go outside that bracket for the right people, which is why I don't block messages outside the range. |

The upper limit is not so important to me, I'll use pics to judge if they're too old for me or not.
The lower limit is specifically chosen to basically filter out under 30s, but allow some leeway for people technically under 30 but have the right attitude.
Pretty much anyone under 25 is a write off for various reasons I won't go into, at risk of causing offence. |

Mine is more like soft guideline as it entirely depends on the person. My lower age range is a hard rule though because the thought of fucking a teenager seems grim |

I don’t really mind about age too much so I leave mine open. I don’t think I would meet with someone 99 but it’s so unlikely to happen I keep it that high out of laziness. If there is someone 99 on here then props to them. |

We move our age range up every now and again. We simply can't offer what much younger people want. A year might not make much difference but at the upper end of our range we've factored in the likelihood of 'fab age' being deployed. |

I set mine for compatibility. A lot of messages I get from men that are a lot older than me are just trying to convince me age is just a number because they can still get an erection. For me I’m more concerned with their personality. If they’re too much older, I struggle to find things in common with them. Or they’ll say things like ‘Back in my day we played out until the streets lamps came on’ and I have to pinch myself to stay awake during a history lesson |

I currently use mine as a message filter, I am liking doing my own “ foraging “ without having to deal with an oversubscribed inbox .
Prior to that it varied a little but typically from late 30’s to early 60’s, this is the age range I would be comfortable meeting for a one on one. Admittedly I do not ID people at parties or clubs and been know to venture outside of my preferred age range |

Until recently I had mine at 18-99. You know - cast the net wide and all that.
Something about hitting 46 made think, hang on a minute - everyone I've ever spoken to under 30 has (to me) been flaky. That's probably due to my age and not because I'm devastatingly handsome.....
And, realistically, I'm not too fussed about anyone over 65 as that makes them near my dad's age!
But they're guidelines and I would chat to anyone if they piqued my interest. |

Had to check mine as its arbitrary and is solely to act as a filter based on my preferences through past experience. Never even thought about the lower end but should probably change that. I do go older but get my prowl on for the 40+ guys! |

Our age range is set 8 years either side of our own age. It's not used as a filter, and we have met outside that range. But I do find the thought of meeting under 30s a bit odd. I'd have to be massively attracted to them to do that  |

For reasons I know are irrational, I can't come at under 25 because I feel they're too young. That's my hard limit.
I increasingly prefer meeting around my own age, although I have several friends I meet who are well outside my upper limit. My upper limit is an inbox control device (when I allow messages). |

With age ranges set it means those outside of that can’t contact you…. Which takes away the ‘it’s about the person’ comments because not everyone can get in touch to show themselves in a way that might attract them to you…. |

I wouldn’t reject younger ladies too quickly IMO.
I’ve dated ladies 20 years my junior and even in recent months had liaisons with 2 ladies in their early 20s. The younger ladies aren’t interested in relationships understandably. But the meets have been a lot of fun.

We’re basing it on the fact we’re unlikely to find people much younger or much older than us attractive. It’s not a looks thing it’s about having things in common other than membership of fab.
We’ve no idea what 25 year olds are into, or indeed 65 year olds, and bare with us here, even though this is a sex site there has to be something other than how a person looks in order for them to be attractive. |
