Singers who can actually sing

Jump to: Newest in thread

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

Inspired by the singers who can't sing thread.

Who do you feel actually can sing and is naturally gifted for this?

How many people can you name off the top of your head that won't be Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston?

My top choice would be Ronnie James Dio. Even better live than in studio. Best pipes ever!

Over to you.

Been lucky enough to see Pearl Jam 3 times, would have loved to have seen Zeppelin at the 02, but tickets were ridiculous. Saw the who on their 50th anniversary tour and Daltrey was still absolutely class. My Dad told me he went to see the small faces and Steve Marriots Mic broke, he continued without and you could still hear him clear as day at the back of the venue

Elisabeth Maurus (Lissie) - her song 'when im alone' is stunning and gives me all of the feels.

and Jessie Ware. my god her music just enchants me, and her voice makes me feel all of the emotion. everything she does is gold.

Adele, obviously because she's my favourite powerhouse. She did a cover of the Cure's Lovesong, and it's just hypn0tic.

Chris Stapleton is just fantastic also. The Southern drawl and low tones do something to me.. like fine wine.

Big Jay McNeely.. oh lord. if you do one thing today, please listen to 'there is something on your mind'!

i clearly don't have a favourite, because im indecisive, and could write this list 7 times over with all the people i think are incredible! Px

Yes he's a fantastic guitar player, should be up there with the greats, sadly, forever underrated.

Actually, to hear her give it some balls, try listening to "The Greatest Show on Earth"....but be warned, it's 21 minute long, it tells the story of the formation of the world, and our eventual appearance on it...skip to approx 6minutes and 30 secs for the singing to start properly.

I think his general jokiness and frivolity mean people don't take him seriously, but he's absolutely fabulous live (as is Kyle Gass). I've seen The D live twice and both times, they were epic. Going to see them again in London in June!

Tarja can definitely sing but of the three she's my least favourite. She can only sing in one style and gets quite boring after a while. Annette bought some fun to the band and Floor can sing pretty much any style and wipes the floor with the other two.
