Not really, it’s all about perspective.
For me it’s been alright I’ve been in a lost worse situations than having to stay in the comfort of my own home for a couple of weeks.
I’m quite enjoying watching the world burn watching the human race lose their minds. Best comedy show ever.

Recession
Might aswell start stockpiling alcohol because the only difference between the 1920s and 2020s is prohibition .

2021 was ok briefly once all the covid shite restrictions were lifted and everything opened again things seemed happy for a bit. Then the recent shit with cost of living ect has been fucking miserable
Overall though the world and society has become a very miserable place in general, can’t say fuck all without someone shouting from the rooftops how “offended” they are and other shit the world seems pretty insane now |

It's been OK from a personal standpoint. My twenties were far, far worse, and pretty consistently. So that would be the noughties.
There has been some utter shit these last two years, but also some pure joy and excellent times.

Seriously, are you forgetting the 80s with the Brixton and Tottenham riots in London, the St Paul's riots in Bristol, Toxteth riots in Liverpool, Derek Hatton and Militant, miners strikes and the SPG and police brutality, the witch Maggie T, the Iran-Iraq war, the Soviet-Afghan war, the Falklands, Israeli invasion of Lebanon...
Then again we have corrupt politicians, creaming money off the NHS budget for their mates to syphon away, whilst the poor in society go cold and hungry - but I suppose you could say at least they haven't started a war to divert our attention. |
