Is it the hosts responsibility to let visitors (for session) know they have pets or the person visiting to ask?

I would say it's up to the host to tell you in advance.

Back of Nowhere and Beyond

I warn anyone coming to my house that I've 2 dogs. It's just polite. I'd do the same if I had cats, rats, bats...

Posh

No idea but i always ask as one person was so allergic to furries I didn’t want to be responsible for causing their death

When I had pets, I would keep a stock of antihistamines in the house for anyone they may have effected just incase

I only meet elsewhere but am highly allergic.

And used to work in with someone who constantly was covered in cat hair I had to move offices.

So certainly wouldn’t want to be fucking someone who may have pet hair on their clothes

I would hope that both are adult enough to both warn about any animals and to advise of any health concerns!

Only if the are willing to waive liability if they get rabies

Interesting responses. I personally think the visitor should say or take antihistamines

I’m highly allergic to cats. I’d definitely struggle having a meet at the home of someone with cats. I think cat allergy is so common that a potential host should mention it as it affects so many people.
