Just for a bit of fun.
Lets say you won the lottery. 30 million for example. What are three things that you would change/first things you would buy?
For me it would be:
- A bigger house. I've got a lovely house atm but one with some room for a gym or a snooker room.
- I'd give up my job, maybe do a 0 hours contract and volunteer as much as i could for good causes.
- I'd love to invest in people who haven't had the best start in life, show them how much value they have.
Your turn! |

But a similar house but more remote, house already feels very lonely and empty when the 2 lads are in their rooms and my daughter isn’t staying over so don’t want bigger just prefer more remote location perhaps much bigger garden for playing with the dog
Buy/set up a gym that I really don’t care if it turns a profit would be happy for it to break even as long as had a great place to hang out all day and train and had decent members and happy staff and had great atmosphere
Just having the free time that the money would enable would be the main thing, time to do what you want would be amazing |

firstly, put it straight in the bank to at least earn on it while i was deciding what to do.
make sure my family were okay, and put decent amounts in my children's accounts so they have a good start when they need it.
new forever home.
and maybe, selfishly, a Demi Moore-style completely body lift.. lipo, tummy tuck, boobs, skin lifts, botox, lips.. the fucking lot.

First thing I'd do is probably have an anxiety attack.
Then I'd buy a house with plenty of land, some woods and a stream/river in the grounds and no other property for at least a mile radius. I'd build a huge garage/workshop and deck it out with all the things Bob and I need or want in there.
Then I'd buy houses for the people who have been there for me through the shitty times and the fun.
Then I'd buy a lifeboat. A new one. For lifesaving charity shiz.

First thing I do is do as little as possible at work , enough to annoy my manager and get put on some sort of warning but not enough to sack me whilst I sort things out,
I would move back abroad ,
Give some money to people I know who deserve a helping hand in life
And just travel to places at a drop of hat |

30 mil..
My idea would be,pay debts first.
Make partners grandparents house like new so they could stop living in worry’s.
Buy partners dream car & place for garage to fix other people’s cars.
Half of what left, put into sons account so he’s set for his future.
Rest of it,we save for better days.

1. Buy a house in a nicer location, and big enough for my family to all visit at the same time.
2. Either build an annex for my elderly parents to live in, or make sure they're financially set for whatever time they have left.
3. Employ a decent account/tax adviser to manage my capital in the most beneficial way to carry out philanthropic work and make charity donations effectively. |

I’d be joining you!!!
New home, put away for kids, siblings & their children, total body overhaul.
Eventually I’d give up work & help the local dog rescue (it would be a totally secret win as some of my family are vile, leechy scroungers)

30 million ?
Invest in stocks/shares. Approx. dividend of 2-5%.
So that's 600K-1.5 million a year in earnings. Live off 50K a month min, as money to fritter away each month and not touch the capital. |

Set my children up for life would be a first priority.
After that I’d buy a decent camper van but I’d not hand my notice in. Not working is not an option as I love my job plus the banter with my work colleagues and patients.
There are some things that money simply cannot buy. |

Chuck it in the bank, get my daughter and show her the world, before its destroyed. Things like the great barrier reef, wild elephants, rainforest, glaciers, the rockies (for me).
Then live somewhere remote, with rescued animals.
Make sure my family had all their current and future health and welfare needs met as well. |

Childish I know but I’d also periodically apply for jobs at places known to treat employees like shit and see how long can get away with doing fuck all and behaving like a twat before getting sacked. It would be a great feeling going to a job you didn’t actually need just to take the piss and see how much you can work your ticket |

My a house with roo. Enough for a games/hobby room and home gym and workshop with all the tools that could ever be needed
Set aside enough money to see the kids ok in life.
Set up a scheme to get houses and employment for ex forces personnel who have fallen homeless or on hard times. |

I read of so many things that affect me that I can't financially help with.
For example mother with young children, no husband, mould in the house, no Xmas presents etc etc.
I would empower an agency to investigate and if true help them anonymously.
