Titz Towers, North Notts

There are a couple I see on the circuit every so often that I don't enjoy. They look as if they're just doing a job that they don't particularly enjoy anymore, but it beats working in an office. Usually they've not written anything new since 2000 and I just wish the promoter had booked one of the 500 other pro acts that are currently working.

The longer the list of comedians you dismiss the more bland your personality.

I like all comedians sometimes.

I do not like all comedians all the time.

I don't dislike all comedians all of the time.

They each have unique outlook on life and delivery style and obviously whether I watch them or not is mood dependent........ MY MOOD and what I'm looking for.

Just like a book that stays on the shelf for years then gets a read - I can dismiss a comedian for a while and then listen to them another time.

They are just chocolates in a box .... I pick the one I want.

I pick the flavours that appeal first.

Some comedians are my hard toffee centre and get picked after a while.

Rosie Jones used to get spat out but now she goes straight into the bin.

Some work better in some scenarios than others. So I'm trying to think of ones that I've never found to be funny anywhere.

James Cordon does spring to mind. I assume he does stand up? He seems to be called a comidian without actually doing comedy.

There are a few that would I don't get excited by when they are on shows. But they aren't not funny. Just not as funny as often as others. Miranda whatsherface falls into this category.

"Best way to judge a stand up is in the roast battles , and the improv sets .

There is a series on sky that is comedians doing improv, robin Williams was on it and oh my god ...he proved just what a funny man he was . Deeply sad when he died .

Frank Skinner also , funny , clever and quick

Anyone who can do improv, can take it on the chin as well as dish it out. I put myself in that too-quick-for-most people category.

Big Jon Pearson does entire 1 hour shows full of him improvising stuff from audience interaction and he's worth seeing "

I've seen a few Al Murray videos where he lays into the audience and he really goes overboard with the melodramatics, ala Ben Elton.

Mitchell and Webb, they're like watching Mrs. Browns Boys. I wait patiently for them to be funny and it just never happens.

Also Noel Fielding, case of Emperors new clothes with him as I'm sure people just say he is funny to be on trend as his comedy is just not funny and he tries waaayyy to hard to be quirky.

"Ricky Gervais, just seems a bit cruel.

He used to be good before he started doing actual 'stand-up' and bought into his own hype. He's just nob nowadays.

Is especials are great and he sells out all over the world. Plus is aperance on the Golden Globes was amazing one of the funniest things we ever seen. When they got rid of him. The views went drastically down. But we understand that is type of humor is not for everyone but is hype is very real and deserved.

Now for the people that thing he is cruel. Watch interviews of him or the serie "After life" and let us know if you still thing that he is a cruel human!

Afterlife proves that he's cruel, because it's just inhumane to inflict that show on humanity.

8.5 on IMBD, 71% on rotten Tomatoes, 95% of Google users like the show. Major success on Netflix but we are sure everyone else is wrong except you.

Just because billions of people smoke, it doesn't me it's a good idea, does it?

Wow that some wild comparison... Majority of people no longer smoke after been informed of the negative effects of smoking...

But again you dismissing million of people opinion just because you don't like him. Like you opinion is superior to others. I don't like the twilight movies but I have to acknowledge that they must be good if they had major success worldwide. If someone is in a high horse is you and others that insist that someone is not a good artist just because they don't like it.

Like I said just because you don't enjoy someone's art doesn't mean they not good at what they do. It just means is not your cup of tea. But insisting that someone is bad even after acknowledging their immense success is literally the definition of being in a high horse.

I used to love Ricky, and I do like some of his humour and his shows are fantastic. I've watched some of his recent stuff and it's left me completely stunned, don't see the funny side at all and it's really put me off him. I think his humour can be so insensitive and he's so smug about not giving a shit about being offensive.

A few others I can think of are James Corden, Jack Whitehall, Katherine Ryan, Amy Shcumed and Russell Howard.

Prefer early Ricky Gervais to his dramas. Not caught up with any of his recent comedy. Afterlife worked on some levels but seemed to just wallow. Some of the devices used to pull on the heartstrings were a bit cynical. The old camcorder footage grated.
