Long story we’ve lost 2 sets of keys, one’s for a more modern vehicle with chips etc, house shed key etc. These we have a second set.
The other set is for an old Mercedes van without chips, door ignition & unfortunately & dead lock?
How difficult to get the keys cut for the van, obviously we need a mobile locksmith as it can’t be driven?
Many thanks in advance. |

Most vehicle dealerships should be able to provide a replacement key from the VIN number. Best thing is to take your log book (V5) along as they'll need to see proof of ownership.
For the Mercedes, it really depends on the age of the vehicle, but I'd be very surprised if they couldn't help |

"OP I hope its a damn sight easier than replacing Renault car keys which was one of the most tortuous processes I have ever had to endure. Good luck! "
Is that the one where the back seats fold down? |

Going to a dealer is going to cost me an arm & 3 legs, probably more than the vehicle is worth. With the V5 info is a mobile locksmith going to be able to do the same? |

You can always replace the barrel most scrap yards if not all can be cheaper just means an extra key |
