Somewhere off the edge of the map... 'ere there be monsters |
"I’ve been thinking about this recently, I don’t seem to follow a pattern when it comes to type. But there’s been quite a few instance on here someone’s sent me a face pic and I tell them they’re not my type. Some ask what my type is and I honestly can’t answer because I’m not sure. But I just seem to know when someone is, I can’t work out exactly why they are but I just know they are. Not sure any of that makes sense tbh, hopefully you’ll get what I mean anyways
"
Maybe you could try a visual exercise to help? Like, gather as many pictures of celebrities/characters, of their faces, the ones that give you fanny flutters, and put them all together into a collage, the more the better. Then step back and look at the collage. Maybe you'll identify come common traits? |

I totally have a type. Still haven't seen or met him on fab yet. All my experiences with different men definitely has influenced me to have a particular type. I know exactly what I don't like in a man |

It makes sense to me. One of Bros is hot, the other one isn't.
It annoys me when they start asking stupid questions like that. If I say my type is XYZ are they suddenly going to morph into XYZ? |

I, K, definitely have a type although sometimes personality wins and I go wild for someone that wouldn't normally fit my type.
LVM doesn't really have a type, but he really likes ladies in glasses

Not really. Physically they're all quite different, even more so in women I'm attracted to. I like passion in people but that's not a type as such. Or maybe it is and I just want to sound edgy. |

I have a type in so far as personality traits and that sort of thing. Looks guarantee nothing. I find too pretty or too gym'ed off-putting though. I like healthy. Healthy mind as much as healthy body |

I have an "ideal" type of man, but haven't met anyone that fits the description yet
Generally, if I like what I see I'll go with it, they just need to have something about them.
But pretty eyes are always a winner. |

"No I don’t. If I stood all the women I fancy together (I wish ) they would be very different to each other. "
Same with men. Makes planning a threesome a nightmare. Lol!
I can't let the short guys go with the tall guys.
I can't let the fat guys go with the gym guys.
I can't let the well-off guys go with the not-so-well-off guys.
I can't let the young guys go with the old guys.
I just discovered a new level of male insecurity last month. Body hair.
I can't let the smooth guys go with the hairy guys.
That's even before I get down to cock size and performance/stamina.
Balancing male ego and competitiveness and "gay fear" is a mindfield.(pun intended)
let's just go with I like cock and men.

I think that telling someone that you don't fancy they're not your type is just a way of letting them down without hurting feelings- it's a bit like telling someone of the same sex who hits on you that you're not interested because you're straight. It's an easier get-out than actually saying that you don't find them physically appealing.
You may not have a type, but you reserve the right to make that decision on an individual basis. If you're not attracted, then obviously they're not your type, but that doesn't mean that your type should all fit into a similar physical model.

Of course there can be plenty of reasons I can find someone attractive, but guaranteed to make me melt are chunky, strong, bearded guys especially with tattoos!
There's a distant lack of those in this neck of the woods |

As the famous lyrics from the hit song by 'Rae Sremmurd' go:
I ain't got no type
Bad bitches is the only thing that I like
You ain't got no life
Cups with the ice and we do this every night
I ain't check the price
I make my own money, so I spend it how I like
I'm just livin' life
And let my mama tell it, son, I ain't livin' right

Yes.
Handsome, dark hair, bearded, good jawline, a man who dresses well with a strange sense of humour. A little nerdy and interesting.
I do find others attractive too but I'm always a sucker for that kind of man.

Having dated ladies of varying ages and different body types it's hard to describe my type just based on looks. A cute smile, bright eyes & long hair is a good start .
Easy going personality, self confidence & sense if humour seal the deal! If she can make me laugh she's a winner |

I definitely have a type when it comes to women but not at all when it comes to guys x as long as a guy can make me laugh and hold my attention he's a winner x ladies in the other hand... Where would I even start?? J x |

I mean if you live in the woods...It's not exactly London....
That said I was browsing the internet and came across a lumberjack chopping wood in some random forest.
Let's just say I and several women in the comments flooded downstairs.
I don't think anyone in London chops wood...they do things like cycle, tough mudder and crossfit. Lol! but plenty of tattoos and beards in East London. |

I don't seem to have a type either and to be honest, it kinda gets me a bit worried because if I don't have a type, it does make me wonder whose type I am and as result, I struggle to see who I would have a good chance with and who I wouldn't. |

I have met some really ugly people living in attractive bodies.
It is definitely more about the person than anything else.
Someone with a positive, happy, fun attitude erring on the weird, sarcasm wins points as does a dark sense of humour. A genuine person, not up their own arse or prone to ignorance.
The physical aspect obviously has an initial attraction but 90% of my partners have been "individuals" as regards personality.
There has been a range of "types" physically. |

Alluringly mysterious |
People with a fond appreciation for the ridiculous, which I am. Minimal, but healthy, ego.
I do have a penchant for dark hair and some facial hair in men, but equally tempted elsewhere and longer term partners have often been against type.
Women with a twinkle in their eye who I can cackle with while stroking their soft, soft skin.
People who get enthusiastic about a pet excitement. And who agree with me that Grease 2 is the best Grease.
Okay now I’m horny and I need to work. Dammit!

I have a type that I am attracted to but I have probably ly dated and had relationships with women outside of that. A type is I think a gut instinct initial attraction thing. Iys getting to know someone and clicking with them at a deeper level that is real attraction. |

Funny and intelligent and I'll be able to stand your company!
Nice body, flirty smile, great butt, and I'll be able to stand getting all sweaty with ya too! |

Brunette, big brown eyes, bubble butt and absolutely essential serious daddy issues - my type.
I’m actively avoiding this as my two long term relationships where the type and they both ended badly. Apparently I have a superhero fantasy where I swoop in and fix those daddy issues, except three months in I realise that you can’t fix people but still try anyway, so now I know my destructive patterns I actively avoid. |

I don't think I have a type in the terms of physicality. Personality yes. Just somebody I can have a laugh. I've always found the best sex is with the one you can really connect with. |

I don’t have a type. Sure good looks and a good body can catch my attention initially but actually I’m unlikely to approach those people anyway. I’m more likely to gravitate those people who make me feel comfortable and wanted. Good conversation and a similar sense of humour will get me. As long as I find them attractive but there isn’t any look particular that i go for.

I didn't think so... certainly not where looks or physique are concerned, as most of the men I've dated or had fun with have all been quite different. However, on reflection I do find that I have an attraction to a certain geeky, yet humerous, personality... without fail that's what draws me in. |
