Killin in Scotland is my favourite place to go. It’s just a tiny village, with a beautiful waterfall you can sit at , surrounded by mountains it’s just so peaceful |

And no amount of back tracking will undo it.

So next time you dont need to remove the virtual shoe from your mouth,,
When referring to your trip here (we both know you ment down south) simply say the Emerald Isle, this way you cover all angles, and no1 can pull you up. |

"For me it's gotta be the Peak District. I've come across so many beautiful little villages with pubs that do great food and some beautiful scenery."
Peak District over Lake District?
I love Bakewell. And Dovedale too.

Definitely. I find the Peak District much more accessible , just as beautiful and in many ways more interesting than the Lake District.so many little villages & towns as well as dramatic climbs and walks

The Brogdale (farm) Fruit Collection in Kent, near Faversham is a location that is top of my bucket list; but is difficult to get to, location-wise.
Brogdale holds the most valuable national resource of apple, pear, plum, damson, nut and other edible fruit trees.
A hugely important place, especially for the future; just as important as Kew, but largely unknown. |

"Western isles
never been to shetlend yet"
It's very bare as in pretty much no trees on the island thanks to it being windy pretty much all the time.
It's a long way much further than people realise about 12 hrs on the ferry from Aberdeen.
It's beautiful in a rugged way, peaceful and charming.
The born and bred shetlanders definitely don't see themselves as Scottish more of a Norse/Scottish hybrid with viking history being very strong.
They are softly spoken folk and warm but suspicious of mainlanders.
However given the transient nature of the north sea oil/gas workers and fishing the population is quite diverse.
I'd advise flying if you can afford it,but ferry is quite an experience particularly if you go via Orkney as well.
I haven't been for a number of years but spent a fair amount of time there as a teenager as used to have family there.
Definitely worth a visit hire a car and see all of the island/s take in the two smaller islands for a really authentic experience.
If you do go on the ferry make sure you have your sea legs |

Norfolk, Suffolk, Devon and Cornwall. I only ever leave with regret I can't stay longer. I should find reasons to up north more, if only just to banish the memories of cold, wet and windy holidays or crap football away days.

We went to Cardiff last September and would like to go back without the kids and explore a bit more.
Mrs would like to visit the Lake District.
Fortunately we live in a (maybe biased) beautiful part of the country and don't need to go far from home to be happy. We enjoy Cornwall and of course the moors, right on our doorstep, for walking, running, cycling etc. |

We’re so lucky to have some beautiful parts of the UK on our doorstep. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Within an hour, we have stunning north wales coast, mountains, countryside, buzzing cities.
Sticking with Chester!
York is a close second |

The Scottish Highlands are truly beautiful - the landscape isn't quite like anywhere else and there's so much heritage, history and raw beauty within it.
Yorkshire is
I love the Cotswolds for the slightly wanky cottagecore feeling.
And I adore Cheshire. So much lovely countryside, perfect little towns to visit. Can't really narrow it down. |

agree with lake district,
prob did about 70-80 all day hikes there over the last 15 years, before i had back surgeries. Some rural parts of lancashire are really scenic.. agree with scottish highlands also.
-i like oxfordshire and i like cornwall too.
there are some parts of wales that i can ge to quite quickly from where i am, that are incredably peaceful/scenic. |

I have been to every part of the UK and Ireland, but London is a very special place to visit; for at least one week.
Accommodation is expensive but there is so much to see that time passes very quickly; I would hate to live there permanently but short visits every couple of years are stimulating. |

"Scottish highlands
Brecon Beacons
Snowdonia
Peak District
Yorkshire Dales
Bit of a theme which matches our name "
I spent so much of my youth hanging around on the Brecons that I loathed it. It was only after a career change and going on a holiday there that I came to appreciate the beauty of them. |
