Secret hideaway in the pennines

This is mainly aimed at the over 40's

Transport yourself back to your nightclub days.

What was your get on the floor song, the one you just had to strut your funky stuff to.

For me there are two, Gill Scott Heron the bottle and Rockers Revenge walking on sunshine

by the big field

I was a full on techno head in the 90's- once the bounce started it was hard to stop (generally just a piss and to fill up the water bottles). Jumped around to a whole load of tracks i have no scooby to the title or artist, that were amazing- with many fish and cardboard boxes thrown in several shapes in their direction.

Can still remember a few good ones i do know the names of, including

Elevator- Shinny

Ago fo Love- Age of Love (watch out for stella mix still sounds fantastic)

Joey Beltram- Energy Flash

Emmanuel Top- (pretty much any track TBF)

Union Jack- Two full moons and a trout or Red Herring

Slam- Positive Education

X-Cabs- Neuro

Might have to have a little rave on the long drive back from work tomorrow evening

Keith Flint was a great loss to the world of music, as was Maxi Jazz much more recently.

I've seen The Prodigy live twice, incredible live performances. "

I remember seeing The Prodigy in the Astoria not long after Charly Says and they were just dressed like typical ravers. Not long after they became huge and transformed their image. Good times.

Not a lot of folk know this But do you know what Keith did before he / they became famous in 1990 and got signed to XL records

He was a "landscape Gardner" imagine looking out yer window on a Monday morning and Keith is there whistling away in the rose bush

I saw them twice back in the day in the 90's at the raves "The Prodigy Experience", A first when they went all cyber punk i wasn't a fan but the tunes grew on me,

Maxi Jazz was a old DJ back in the 1980 and had released records then before faithless, One track was called "Do your dance" (Brixton Mix)

N Trace was a tune and a half in 1992(Original White label mix) with the thunder and lighting on the intro, then it became all commercial after Kelly Llorenna hammer the arse out of it and about 20+ remixes later over the years it crushed it made it cheesy,

Same the Baby D - Let me be in 1992 (White Label Mix) then 20 odd remixes later over the 20 odd years and Dorothy Galdez hammering the arse out of it, it crushed that too,

I think dance music went shite after say 96, all the Super Clubs, Ibiza, Superstar Dj's, went too attitudey and we all know why that was (Too much Jazz Talc)

BASS DROP ........ Great intro to DJ with on vinyl and now on Serato and Traktor as you can chop up the beats and juggle them around,

Save the last dance film classic, and sampled from love like this by the late great RIP Faith Evans,
