What's the best gift. You've been given?

And what have you or will you regift?

Hopefully you won't forget and give it the the original gifter

Choice of best gift is a tough one.

My kids sent me to Rome for my birthday. They also got me Botox for another one.

A air fryer is definitely in the mix...love chips from it! Thought I'd never enjoy good chips again ....oven chips just don't do it for me

A trip to New York is the most jaw dropping one that was given too me.

A baby was handed to me on one of my birthdays too, nothing will EVER top that.

surrounded by twinkly lights

Best emotional gift ever was the news of a loved ones remission

Best physical gift ever was a portrait of my dog who passed away

I'm quite lucky in that I mainly get money for occasions so I can buy what I want, so regifting is not necessary

When you say handed you're not talking literally, are you?

I'd say that's hard to top!

Dubai & Nottingham

When my kids were little we used to camp in tents and was at a festival once working at an art workshop for kids. Someone there felt sorry for us & gave us really swanky 4 berth caravan. We used it for a few years then re-gifted it to another family we met working at another festival with little ones , I heard a few years later they had done the exact same !

A hot water bottle in the form of a fluffy elephant.

It’s super soft even after two years and it was a complete surprise gift from my wife one Christmas which is unusual as she hates buying me anything I haven’t mentioned or shown interest in as I’m “impossible to buy for”.

Two slightly silly, sentimental ones stand out for me.

One is my great grandad's violin. He played for the Royal Philharmonic. And it means a lot.

The other would be a love letter. I think I've reread it a hundred times since receiving it. The thought of someone taking the time to pen something solely for me means the world. I don't think there's anything gift/material wise that means quite as much.

Then a pair of used sock’s someone once gifted me for a birthday.

"

Fixed that for you.

It's nice to be surprised!

I now have an image of you with a furry elephant in between your legs....bet that feels good.

I like a good watch.

I've only ever had one and that's about 20 yrs old. It was a present from my late husband.

There's nothing quite as special as a used pair of socks

As long as they don't smell of feet

Seriously though, you have a beautiful friendship.

A recent present C bought me was a key ring which you scan on Spotify and it plays a piano piece.

This piece was playing the night that changed C’s thoughts on us as just FWB’s and she started getting the feels
