I'm the same in real life as I am on here. Not worried about fitting in, appealing to anyone in particular just to seems popular or needing to feel part of a certain group. I don't hold back my views and am happy to defend my opinions when necessary. I'm confident in my abilities and skills, and comfortable on my own or in company.
I only put what I originally put to show how easy it is for people to claim to be whatever they want online and potentially have other assume they're being open and accurate with their portrayal of themselves and their viewpoints.
This is the internet. You can be whoever you want to be online and some will never know the difference between that and reality.
Sometimes that's good. Sometimes not.

In the world I'm terrified of people, anxious about everything and oftentimes very quiet.

Do you believe that, (and I’m not saying you do or are) but does this warrant, in your eyes, indefinite and unlimited freedoms to what constitutes perhaps by definition ‘trolls-Dom ’ and if that can be considered a legitimate mental state and ultimately connects to some ‘disorder’ or other.’
I’m asking as I’m experiencing extreme amounts of (what I see as narcissistic and the ‘in the long game’ sociopathic behavioural type) directed abuse like excessive and non stop ghosting - here, email and or phone; maybe it’s a worrying new badge of honour or pleasure past-time to some people some of who I know or/and knew. Some I have caught in flagrante.
What I’m wanting to ask; do you think you’d be this person online if you hadn’t been so awkward in real life? And how far does anyone’s patience need to be entertaining a persons ‘crass banter… and toxicity’ when in fact in a real life situation I’d walk away and cease contact. |
