I'm in and OK so far no alcohol since 24th December.

Picked up some grape juice today.

I have a drink or two every few weeks/months, so can't say dry January would affect me in any way.

I usually drink fairly regularly, maybe 3 or 4 times a week but not to excess. Im giving dry January a bash and using it to find a good quality alcohol free alternative. So far, Guiness 0.0 is remarkable good and today I have almost finished a bottle of alcohol free Merlot and thats a bit sweet but actually not too bad. I'd happily be the designated driver for a night out and drink those instead and not feel left out

On day 11 and apart from the difficulty sleeping, it's going okay.

I'm doing a Boris, which allows me to have a drink while still staying within the rules. It's that first drink of the morning which is hard to give up, but I've found that amaretto works as a great mouth wash.

I decided to do it this year for personal reasons...

I was hoping to feel refreshed, full of energy and sleep a lot better, but so far none of that!

I'm currently struggling to see the point, other than my sheer stubbornness to prove my kids wrong who said they don't think I can go a month without a beer!!
