Can be stand-up, tele or movies
Mine are both stand-up: Sara Pascoe is someone I've loved for a while. However, I've also just discovered Nate Bergatzi.
Really appreciate Sharon Horgan's work too.
What about you? |

Micky Flanagan, he absolutely kills me. We used to love Lee Evans but he became very repetitive before he stepped away. We always liked Sean Lock too and Ricky Gervais deserves a mention.

My favourite of his....
In awe, I watched the waxing moon ride across the zenith of the heavens like an ambered chariot towards the ebony void of infinite space wherein the tethered belts of Jupiter and Mars hang, for ever festooned in their orbital majesty. And as I looked at all this I thought... I must put a roof on this toilet. |

Sean Lock was a fave of mine. I've seen many live but the most recent was Russell Kane, and he was just excellent. He's also very handsome of course

Agree with Sean Locke. Greatly missed.
Kenny Everett. His shows and guest performances would have me crying with laughter
Bill Hicks. A US comedian. Edgy, dark and brutal at times.
Kevin Hart has definitely grown on me too. |

These are all currently working on the UK comedy circuit and regularly take the roof off. Most of them have material on youtube, too. For a tenner, people can have a night out and see talent like this in a local comedy club and they're often far better than anything that has been edited for telly.
Scott Bennett,
Simon Lomas,
Jeff Innocent,
Andrew Bird,
Diane Spencer,
Lindsey Santoro,
Ben Briggs,
Freddy Quinne,
Thomas Green,
Rob Mulholland,
Peter Brush,
Sean Heydon, |

I think if you remember him, then Dave Allen was my all time favourite.
Rhod Gilbert (hope he gets well soon)
Dave Gorman (seen him twice)
Mark Thomas (red door tour) like Politic activism

George Carlin
I like many others but none of them will ever come close to the late great Mr Carlin.
For most comedians, I often take to specific jokes, sections or specific parts more so than their comedy styling as a whole. |

I think lot's are "of their time"
I remember when Eddie Murphy s Raw first came out and everyone was mad for it as a young dumb teenager I thought it was funny.
I've matured and recently tried watching it again and it was shocking made me embarrassed that I laughed at it.
Ben Elton was brilliant when the alternative comedy broke through.
Emo Philip's was a oddity.
However some don't age and will always be funny.
I like them to build a joke through the entire routine, stuff that makes you think that you are the only one who gets it.
Dave Allen was brilliant at this.
Not to keen on the sketches but his sit down comedy was brilliant. |

Totally! I've not seen much of him since he discovered podcast fame, but he's an awesome comic. You've got good taste and it's nice to see people who know circuit comics. |

There have been so many over the years that hit the spot at their time.
For longevity, Dave Allen, Billy Conolly and for total fucked in the head weirdness delivered in a serious deadpan style it has to be Sean Lock, sadly missed. |

True story. Sara is the first person who ever bought me flowers she wasn't a famous back then though.
I can't say I have a favourite, but someone who deserves to break out into being big is Larry Dean. You should all check him out |

"Kevin Bridges and Micky Flanagan. I went to see Kevin Bridges last year and he was hilarious."
Also went to see Kevin Bridges who was absolutely brilliant. Once saw Al Murray and Harry Hill in the upstairs of a pub with about 10 others before they were famous, both we superb. |

"Mike Harding.
Jasper Carrot.
Billy Connolly.
Ed Byrne.
Wow Mike Harding...... Haven't heard his name for years. "
I used to watch the Mike Harding show as a kid, my parents were into folk music. I couldn't stand some of the songs, but he was so funny. |
