I used to find it one of those oddly intriguing programs where it was possible to loathe it and like it simultaneously…
But in recent times it appears to have become a victim of its own success and the formula which made it work now seems to have completely lost it's potency ……
The format is past its sell by date.....and the presenters have lost their novelty value...
Thats my tuppence-worth anyway |

Must admit that even though it's gone off the boil a bit I still love it. They need to go do some big adventures again as that's where the chemistry between JC, JM and RH seems to work best. Anyone know when the new series starts? |

Love it. just watched the latest dvd about the worst cars ever. and agreed with their final two. They summed Peugeots up perfectly. Modern Peugeots should be renamed "Polititions" As they promise everything and deliver fuck all on all levels |

Summed up my feelings about TG perfectly there Soxy. It's badly in need of a make-over, but that's the Beeb for you - if they get a formula that sells, they flog it to death - in fact, they keep it alive for at least five years after rigour mortis has set in...

Yup.....I guess as long as it attracts enough viewers that are willing to suspend disbelief that all the stunts and accidents aren’t real situations and there isn’t a huge itinerant support team involved in stage managing all the chaos on the road trips……
oh and those impromptu perilous scenes captured by cameras that appear to be shooting from angles beyond the point of the imminent danger faced by the presenters….
They will keep the show going
Yeah that’s entertainment....

"Love it.
Is there a Christmas special this year? Not seen it advertised."
The Christmas special is in February, makes sense to me anyway.
Used to love Top Gear, beginning to find it a little boring now that they are trying to appeal to the masses. It is less of a car show than it used to be. |
