Every new year the papers go mad with reports of Easter eggs being on sale four months early. Tom has a question. Are they eight months too late ?

What's going on here guys.

It gets worse: my local Morrison's has birthday cakes in already when my birthday isn't until late May.

The world is going crazy.

My birthday is towards the end of December. Their birthday cakes will be well stale when I need one!

I popped into Tesco yesterday and saw actual Easter Eggs on the top of the shelves.

I'll ask my lot which ones they want and get them in early.

There's Christmas chocolate in Lidl. That's not for another 12 months give or take. Madness.

I’ve worked in food retail for nearly 30 years and we always get crème eggs delivered pre-Christmas because everyone is fed up with Christmas chocolate so they go out straight away. There is a method to the madness I assure you

Ffs. Are mini eggs out? That’s my diet down the drain. If it’s not orange matchmakers it’s mini eggs. I’m doomed!! Oh god don’t tell me

Those amazing yellow dairy milk bars with mini eggs in are out too!

I'm fairly sure most things in Lidl can out survive cockroaches.

I worked in Tesco for years, they come in and sit in the back well before Christmas, then go out on Boxing Day every year.

Why do people act so surprised every year?

The mini eggs were out a few days before Christmas here. The bags are smaller and they didn't taste as good either.

Already! . I need to stay away from the shops! I shop at Tesco and they didn’t do them last year luckily haha. So I had to make a special trip to the co op to get one!

I’ve more of an issue with Christmas starting 4 months early than Easter Eggs being on the shelves

Lifes departure lounge NN9 Northamptonshire East not West MidlandsMidlands

One early September day many years ago having delivered a new vehicle to a customer I was hitch hiking back to my base using trade plates, I got a lift in a Cadbury's truck.

I engaged in conversion with the driver by asking if he was topping up the Supermarkets with Christmas goodies, No he said I have a full load of Easter Eggs bound for the distribution centres.
