I’ve lost weight

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

It’s just my bloody luck to be loosing surgut still, even over the last few weeks.

I blame everyone I know for this. Ffs. My belt has moved to a tighter notch again.

Anyone else struggle putting and holding weight on? I’m half a stone under what I want to be.

Somewhere

Eat more. Unless tracking calories the large majority of people grossly over estimate how much they are eating when wanting to gain weight.

Woody, a few years back, I’d have thought this in my head, but never ever said it aloud, because my mother and sisters would’ve come after me.

But now, no. I only have to think about wine and I’ve gone up a dress size (and bra size ). I have to keep forcing myself out for runs to try and counteract it, it’s a sad state of affairs.

So now I say, with great respect and love. Fuck you. Fuck you very much x

"I've been pretty much same weight since I was 16, doesn't matter what I do"

This is me. I’ve lost a full stone over the year since spring. Active job I suppose, but they are the jobs I’ve always done. I can’t eat when I’m not hungry or full. So that never worked.

I’m not actively trying to gain weight now, but having got to a weight unexpectedly what I was happy with, to see it fall off now is annoying me.

Muscle weighs more than fat, and takes up less room, try some weight training, bonus is you will be fitter too.

No. I eat and cook the same. However said that, I suppose the nightime snacking changed. That makes sense.

I tried that, it never worked, fair enough the fitness and body benefited. But I’m lazy like that, the gym is also boring.

I'd just mentioned on another thread that I aim to put on a bit more weight and maintain. The couple months leading up to festive period was a bit rough, and when feeling shitty and/or stressed my appetite goes our the window. Two weeks before Christmas I weighed 8st 10lb, haven't looked since.

Only way I ever gained weight was protein shakes and 6000 calories a day to gain about 4lb a week but it's expensive

There could be a benefit for a lazy chic.

I like to think a woman would only need to open her legs slightly with little effort to let me slide into her…. I might put this on my profile.

Hope you feel better soon.

If it’s unusual for you to loose weight make an appt at your local surgery to get your bloods checked, will only take two mins but could help solve your issue

On the otherhand I have tons of weight I could give you that I really don’t need but it keeps me warm so saves on heating bills

Oats. Milk powder. Almonds. (I thought Brazil nuts were high in protein too, so I might whack them in. ) blitz it!!

Ive struggled with weight and putting it on these last few years but have taken to drinking horlicks/ovaltine (so rock and roll) and are attributing that to having gained half a stone last year. You strike me as a whizzy about, work hard sort of person so you probably need to eat more than you realise. Lard on toast for you

If you've not checked with your doctor already maybe make an appointment! I'd be worried if I was losing weight if I was eating more than usual. I gain weight super easily, so I'm a bit jealous if you're just naturally like that.

My weight depends on my thyroid function. If it's managed well with levithyroxine my weight is stable as long as I eat well otherwise I lose it quickly. One if the first signs that it's off balance is a weight loss or gain.

This was me as a teenager. At one point a size 6 was falling off me even though I ate for England. I was incredibly active though. I started gaining weight when not as incredibly active. I guess as you say your job is active, you can't really change that so maybe if you wanted to gain weight, the answer would be more calorie dense foods.

Oh yes I have it checked yearly as I’m on thyroxine with having half my thyroid removed.

Last time I lost a few pounds for no apparent reason they said my thyroid result was reading as under active which usually means weight gain for people, so I think my body works back to front for some reason.
