"Simple minds "don't you"
Always reminds me of the film, "The breakfast club".. Classic "
I believe actually written for the movie specifically, but I'm prepared to be wrong on that. |

One of my favourites. Reminds me of the first boy I kissed, he used to put this track on the jukebox everytime I was in his Dad's pub |

I just had to check on my music.
There's only the one song written and performed by Simple Minds on The BC soundtrack.
The other songs are by random artists.

"Terrible decade for music. 90’s was so much better but…
Slick Rick - Children’s Story is a banger."
well, the best music of the 90s never got close to the charts or any radio airplay either. Mainstream music was utterly dire in the 90s |

Helloween, Warlock, WASP, most of Tom Petty's, Joe Satriani, Scorpions and lots more. Some more commercial rock made it. |

" I preferred The Music That Nobody Likes by Carter USM, but that was 1993 |

"Cure - Pictures of You
All About Eve - Every Angel
The Mission - Tower of Strength
Sisters of Mercy - Lucretia My Reflection
"
This is more my 80's.
Started out with Adam & the Ants, morphed in to early hip hop & electro- mid 80's was all synthersizer driven stuff and then the joys of the indie/goth/industrial scene was discovered
Still have the SOM, Mission, The Cult etc plying on a weekly basis, way better than much of the disposable chart fodder of the same period |

"90s easily the most productive and evolved decade of music"
So not the house music of the 80s
Djing and music production of the 80s blew my mind
Roland’s TR-808, TR-909, and later the TB 303 say no more |
