Gentlemën, Ladiës, Binariës and Whateveriës...
For those of you who are enamoured by a glass of your finest libation this evening, I offer a servitude of endless compliments.
This evening a bottle of Graham's 2015 LBV coats my glass and graces thy lips.
It's almost better than sex. Almost.
What is your liver's nemesis this evening in liquid form? |

Tempted to open a bottle I've been hiding away for some time. A 1989 vintage port that's as old as Fox.
Just worried it may not be quite as tasty.......

Just finished a non expensive American Cabernet Sauvignon, it went well with the Chilli.
It’s the Dead Man’s Fingers next … no, not anal probing, the rum, probably with some … the beverage .
Port for later. |

I will see the New Year in with a couple of glasses of Hine Antique XO Cognac.
I have had this bottle about 8 years and am now under pressure to finish it as I apparantly promised a friend that she could have the empty bottle to make a table lamp and now she keeps reminding me.

What/Which Port is it?? "
Cruz
Possibly past it's peak but I have a few odd bottles that I've stashed away and not found an excuse to open.
The alternative is a chunky 1998 Grant Burge Filsell Old Vine Shiraz, but I'm not sure I fancy the headache that would give me tomorrow as I'm not planning on eating much tonight.

Ooh, a glass of port would be just the ticket now, Nero.
I went out for dinner (Italian) and we had a pretty good Gavi, and a NYE limoncello to finish. Home with a peppermint tea now (dear god, who am I?).
Happy New Year, all!

Nice. If you have a few bottles, be good to open one now , then compare over the next 15 to 20 years.
Did a tasting of the best vintages from the past 7 decades 3 years back and the best still was 77. Really lovely |

"We've notched up: Champagne, Rioja, and Cabernet Sauvignon. We're talking glasses, not bottles.

And that's just for starters. What's next on your cocktail list?? "
They were the drinks we had with our meal out, we haven't had more, we're not really drinkers.
Next drink will be our anniversary I would imagine.

Haven't really been very keen on port since the time a long long time ago a few of us thought we would be very 18th C and have two bottles each and I woke up and genuinely thought I'd had a brain haemorrhage
But Madeira is nicely sweet and insanely undervalued.... |

Had some Martell cognac (mixed with Pepsi, sorry I'm not a neat liquor drinker) with my home-cooked steak dinner earlier on.
And that's all I dare to have tonight, after waking up with a rare hangover from last night! |
