What was the single best and worst thing to happen to you in 2022 ?
Celebrate your wins or purge your memories. Out with the old and in with the new !
And Happy 2023 to all Forumites. |

Best - taking my niece on holiday for the first time and creating lots of precious memories
Worst - Spending a lot of the year feeling very low following a bereavement
Looking forward to a fresh new start in 2023 and feeling a lot more positive |

Best was finally finding a way out of the worst relationship I've ever experienced after basically shutting down and failing to exist at all rather than face it for well over a year.
Worst was making and losing what I thought was a good connection with someone who could have been important to me. |

Not all that North of North London |
Worst, the mental health issues massively exacerbated by a bullying manager that cost me my job and very nearly my life.
Best, not being dead is pretty ace. Plus surrounding myself with an increasing amount of pretty awesome people. And reconnecting with sone I pushed away |

Best: First fab 1 to 1 meet and overall confidence gained from here
Worst: Not one specific thing, but the overall helpless feeling of all the shit going on in the world and wondering if it will actually get any better |

Thanks all for sharing and sorry for the loss of loved ones.
For me the best was my son doing better than expected in his GCSEs.
The worst was the continuing war in Ukraine. |

Started a new job that I loved with all my heart and thought I was pretty good at.
Had to give in my notice to said job because of a bullying, unprofessional boss, told me to sort my head out and that im not right for the job
Starting the new year jobless and awaiting a ADHD diagnosis |

Lots of loss and some real lows on this thread - sorry everyone, hope 2023 delivers more ups than downs.
My high has been the birth of my first nephew (with 2 sisters and 4 nieces, I thought I was destined to only live in a family of women!).
If you want a Fab high, I started using the forum, which made Fab a whole lot more interesting; met someone I'd wanted to meet for ages; and have started going to more of the group socials which have been great.
Not one single low, but work has been consistently stressful and frustrating, and feels like I'm walking through treacle. Will get a new job in 2023. |

"I got a job. I lost 3 stone. I went on my first ever holiday. I've gained so much confidence and independence.
I lost my mum and brother. "
Sorry to hear about your loss *hugs*
Huge congrats on the confidence and weightloss, i've dropped 2 dress sizes from a 24 but i'm so unhappy with my empty wobbly bits now, I think I look worse than before your pics are beautiful x |

Thank you. I know what you mean. I feel like I don't look as full now, especially in places like my bum and boobs and I miss that. But I do feel healthier than I have in a long time. Good job on your weight loss!! As long as you're happy and healthy that is what matters. You look fab in your pictures. |
