Forever (forever), forever ('ever)
You'll stay in my heart and I will love you
Forever (forever), and ever (ever)
We never will part, oh, how I love you
Together (together), together (together)
That's how it must be
To live without you would only mean heartbreak for me
I do love belting out a belter. It’s even more fun when Tones does it with me.
What’s a belter you can’t resist belting out? Dare you do it with someone else or only when you’re alone?

Ah you.
I love my kitchen karaoke as you know.
I have Brand New Day by Sting popping in my head now.
"I'm the present to your future (stand up)
You're the wound and I'm the suture (it's a brand new day)
You're the magnet to my pole
I'm the devil in your soul (stand up)
You're the pupil, I'm the teacher
You're the church and I'm the preacher (it's a brand new day)
You're the flower, I'm the rain
You're the tunnel, I'm the train (stand up)
All you lovers in the world, yeah
Stand up and be counted, every boy and every girl
Stand up all you lovers in the world, yeah, yeah
We're starting up a brand new day..."

Both belters of the highest order!"
Oh wow….Somebody Else’s Guy….thanks for the reminder. I haven’t heard, let alone belt out, that in decades!! |

I must say, the kitchen doesn’t hold a candle to our car belting. |

The Sound of Music.
ImI was at a friends house once in my teens, with her parents and her hot old brother in earshot and I just blurted it out. And then immediately regretted it they laughed until they were blue |

"Cum on Eileen.
Love it or not, just can’t help belting it out, right?
Right.
I'll hum this tune foreeeeever. "
Hum?? Is that even doable? It’s impossible to muffle it to a hum, surely. |

I was just singing come sail away.
My voice is broken since having Covid last Christmas and 6 or 7 bad viruses with a chesty cough.
I sounded like that old biddy off Coronation Street in the summer. |

Amy's brilliant cover of Valerie.
Cos, Since I've come on home,
Well my body's been a mess
And I've missed your ginger hair
And the way you like to dress
Won't you come on over
Stop making a fool out of me !
Why don't you come on over Valerie? |

"Islands in the Stream or Proud Mary. Timeless bangers!
Yesss…I mentioned Islands In The Stream earlier. It’s a cracker, isn’t it?"
It’s utterly brilliant. For me Proud Mary nudges ahead because of the tempo change and in the right crowd it’s insanely good. |

Ah yes, I see what you mean. Honestly, I almost break into a sweat just listening to Proud Mary. I think it’s from the sheer effort to simply not leap up and move to it! |

"Is your name related to Miles Davis, OP? He knocked out some jazz belters in his day, including the one that shares your name. "
Funny you should mention him. One of his albums bore the same name as my nickname at school, albeit it wasn’t what inspired it. |

I'm trying desperately to recall the song I always belt out while passage making in my sea kayak way offshore in glorious summer time.
It's always the same song and when I'm out there it comes straight to me but for the life of me I can't recall it seated now at my laptop table!
I'd like to think it is something from my rock repertoire but it could equally be a sea shanty. |
